Beauty Alert: Steal the Prettiest Pouts from the Teen Choice Awards
Though we can’t all call on celebrity makeup artists to help us get red carpet-ready, we can steal some celeb-approved beauty tricks. The easiest to replicate? Lip colors! Here’s the scoop on some of the hottest hues from Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, including the lip colors seen on Lea Michele, Selena Gomez and more:
Lea Michele: Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick in “Pure,” $26. “It’s a light pink, and the creamy texture worked perfectly with her golden skin,” her makeup artist Melanie Inglessis explained.
Selena Gomez: Avon Big Color Glossy Lip Pencil in “Glossy Angelic,” $3.99. Celebrating her 20th birthday at the award show, Gomez is growing up but still knows how to act her age in the beauty department. Karen Mitchell, her makeup artist, wanted to keep the look “fun and flirty,” so she opted for a bubblegum-pink gloss.
Lucy Hale: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipshine in “En Vogue,” $32.50. Amidst a sea of nude and pink, Pretty Little Liars star Hale stood out with a dramatic red lip done by celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin. Tip: Get the hue while it lasts; it’s limited edition!
Ashley Benson: Mark. Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in “Coral Fixation,” $11. Fellow Pretty Little Liars actress Benson donned a custom color attained through a bit of mix-and-matching.”I layered [the lipstick] and mark. Gloss On Lip Gloss in Sunset Beach ($10) to create a gorgeous pout,” makeup artist Mai Quynh revealed.
Carly Rae Jepsen: Laura Mercier Lip Stain in “Shy Pink,” $20. Continuing the night’s pale-pink pout trend, Jepsen‘s makeup artist Desirae Cherman chose a “hint of lip stain” rather than the staid lipstick or gloss.
