Tom Cruise’s Son Connor Gets a Mohawk

Tom Cruise‘s son Connor is feeling like a rock star, apparently!

The 17-year-old flaunted his new mohawk on Twitter Friday with the caption, “Chopped.” He even went as far to stencil a design onto the shaved sides.

The Hollywood D.J. is the son of Cruise and his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman.

Connor recently visited his newly single father on the set of his new film Oblivion, before stopping by Comic-Con earlier this week. Tell us: Do you like Connor Cruise’s new hairdo?

Come on, People Magazine. We get that you focus on entertainment, but you used to also focus on real human interest pieces as well. Our country suffered a great tragedy today, and I think that more of your stories should focus on the victims and honoring them, than whether or not the son of a celebrity got a 1992 version haircut.

When I was a teenager many years ago, we had a magazine called Photoplay. It was all about the movied stars, etc. People used to be a human-interest magazine, now it is like Photoplay, There are so many people and events other than movie stars that People could feature. Let’s get back to those.

I don’t understand why the anger at this story – this section is called StyleWatch. Should they only report tragic world news? My heart goes out to the victims and families. Why on earth must every article be about a tragedy that has occurred? Why must every wealthy celebrity spend all their money on the poor? Why must Americans only adopt children from the USA? I can’t believe so many people are whining about an article about style in a magazine section called STYLE WATCH. Perhaps if serious news is so important to you, you should get off your butt and stop reading a tabloid celebrity site. Use that time to educate yourself, because obviously you’re completely lacking in comprehension skills if you can’t figure out what People is. You do realize other news sites aren’t 100% about the tragedy in Aurora too, right, and that they have entertainment sections? Do you really expect every site to be 100% dedicated to the shootings?

Now, onto the actual story, I love the hair and think it looks great.

Yes, the US had a major, horrific event early today. I feel for all who have been greatly affected. However not all of us want to spend the entire day dwelling on it and feeling sickened.

I have watched the news and followed up on the tragic events in Colorado. Then I came here for a break. Some light entertainment news. I can ot imagine it is healthy to focus on misery all day long. I mean, are all of you who made these comments glued to your tv and internet all day focusing on sadness only. I really hope not for your own sanity. The young man is certainly handsome. Hopefully he will be attending college soon.

Is PEOPLE Magazine, now highlighting the Cruise Family for some odd reason? Each day, more photos. Today another 50 or so of the little girl with parents, all SMILING photos by the way.

I believe Tom and Katie awake each morning, and decide which kid to use for bait for the photographers.

No one cares to see a photo of Tom or Katie, or for that matter his other 2 ex wives. So boring…

I pray Tom’s son will attend college, and find a counselor that will help him to realize, that doing bizarre things to get press attention, and attention from others, will not help him to become a proud and well educated man on his own. Gawd…I hope he has no dreams to become like his dad. He can do so much better. (not talking about money) Do something with your life young man! :)

They never have. They’ve always been a celebrity magazine. In the last couple of decades it’s gone to tabloid status, but it’s always been celebrity based. It’s like complaining “I went to CNN to read a story about a woman who gave birth to a twenty pound alien but I found you don’t talk about twenty pound alien babies.”

For everyone posting “who cares?” and the like, I thank you. The click and comment count on this story went up with each one of you, and will encourage People to do similar stories in the future. And since People is fluff and a break from real life, I love that I’ll get even more fluff thanks to you guys.

It’s an entertainment website…..I am heartsick about the people that lost their lives but guess what, in the last 6 days here in Toronto and surrounding areas 31 or 61 people lost their lives.

I have students who knew some of these people and innocent bystanders were killed. It’s all so overwhelming so I welcome a lil fluff to take my mind off the overwhelming sadness around me.

That being said, if you want to tune in to hear about the shooting, stick to CNN or Fox and not People!!!!!

I love Connor’s mohawk. He is a very handsome young man and honestly, I think he looks just like his father.

So let me get this straight. Are you saying we can’t move one? We should continue being saddened? It’s entertainment people. There’s nothing wrong with making people feel happy.
