A necklace with 5 rings is truly a nod to the Olympics…quite a strech with that story title!

For that much money, I would hope it’d be something a lot prettier…but to each their own.

She is amazing and looks perfect each and every time an dyes, her “personal collection” she is married to a duke, I would hope she has a few nice things, well she would look awesome in it , not everything she wears ahs to be from walmart to make everyone happy, she is of true grace and style and I look forward to seeing her in the new everyday…her smile brings one to mine, a hard working simple man with 3 jobs….and it is no ones business if she bought it, got it as a gift etc….I have an italian watch, it was a gift does that make everyone feel better?

Dang, she always looks beautiful. Cartier is one of my favorite brands and if I could afford it, I would be wearing it! Nothing wrong with that.

This is not the best possible public relations … it may be a good bet that the store which “leaked” the price has lost future royal customers.

I like her, but that really kind of makes me sick! I am a college educated person, work a full time professional job, work by b-u-t-t off and that is more than I make in a year – that she is wearing around her neck! 99.9% right here! UGH!

Why is People(the mag) so obsessed with what Kate wears!

I think too many people are jumping to the conclusion that she or Will spent that money. Think back to her War Horse appearance. That necklace was a wedding gift from someone. This could very easily be the case. When you invite the crown heads of the world to your wedding to the second in line to the throne, you’re going to get some amazing gifts.

Kate Middleton has turned into nothing more than a clothes horse. Her fans said that she would not go that route, but she has. Nice to see that she’s using her expensive degree!?

I wonder how many people remember that her family has millions…even before she met a royal. Leave the poor girl alone. And no, she does not have to give every thing to an African cause or starving refugees, she does a lot for charity and so does the royal family. They can be rich and not have to feel bad about it.

Hahaha…There are people here that are saying she looks like she is in love with herself. Tell me, what exactly does that look like ? As far as her clothes go, she accepts no free designer outfits because of the favoritism it would look like and like some here, people would say she is pompous. She dresses very moderately for a princess and in fact often has on outfits under $100. Her degree she gave up the day she married a prince. What will people have her do, spend her days being a social worker or an accountant ? Prince William waited 8 years to marry her, in part I’m sure because he knew life as she knew it would be done from that day forward, give her some credit for goodness sake. She has chose many, many charities since becoming princess and has raised millions.

I love her necklace; it’s very appropriate for the occasion. Gold is pricey these days and, since the necklace is all gold, the price is no surprise. I’m sure a more affordable version in sterling will be available all over the world – probably before the Olympics even start.

Seriously that necklace cost more than my house when we bought it (Admittedly we bought at the right time in the market from a seller desperate to sell, we could sell it for well over twice what we paid now, but still!!)
I’m sorry she is more than intitled to wear whatever she want but I just could never fathom spending that much money on one necklace, even if I had as much money as they do, especially considering the look of it. It is a beautiful necklace but it really doesn’t look like anything special to me.

Tired of everything about this woman. She is average looking and has good fashion taste but nothing outstanding. If she were not married to Prince William no one would give her a second thought.

Does it really matter day or night? She’s a princess for goodness sake. She has immaculate taste and class. Leave the poor girl alone.

I imagine her husband gave it to her. The Windsors are rich.

But then again, so are the Middletons.

I doubt Katherine purchased that bauble. She seems to be practical but she could afford it. Want to guess Cartier’s sent it to her as a gift? For people making negative remarks about feeding the poor, she sponsors many charities. I am not rich and I support a group in NY to feed people. All I can say is I wish we had such an exemplary woman to represent our country. She is a gem.

Kate as always, looks absolutely lovely. But the necklace is boring boring boring. I bought a similar piece a few years back at a dollar store to dismantle and use the rings for another design. It’s definitely not “head turning” as the teaser headline on the main screen suggests.
