Beyoncé Rocks New Braided Hairdo

Beyoncé is returning to her Destiny’s Child roots — and no, we’re not talking about those color-coordinated outfits she used to wear. She’s brought back her braids!

The superstar debuted her new extensions, wrapped up in a statement-making beehive bun, on Wednesday while in N.Y.C. with her daughter, Blue Ivy.

There were whispers that the singer was rocking long honey-hued braids at a party in the Meatpacking District earlier this week, but the new style didn’t make an official public appearance until now.

The hairdo is a major departure from the wavy, natural look she’s favored recently. It also seems as if she’s taken some inspiration from her sister Solange, who’s been sporting a similar look.

Apparently, Beyoncé’s adorable daughter is taking after her mom in the locks department: the little one already has quite a head of hair! Tell us: Do you like Beyoncé’s new hairdo?

A curtain and a bowl of magnets on her head, she looks ridiculous if it wasn’t for stylist this is how she would look everyday…

I don’t necessarily see racism on here. Just a bunch of people who don’t particularly think this is a good look. Racism and simply not liking a braided bun are two different things.
I think Beyonce in general is very pretty and I’ve see pics where she lookd fabulous with updos or downdos. But in my opinion, the ball of braids is just too much. I’d be worried about trying to maintain all of that weight on top of my head.

That being said, still a cute little baby! Congrats, Beyonce. :)

No. I don’t think this hairdo is becoming to Mrs.
Carter. She looks best in her old hair styles. NO BRAIDS. Get rid of this hairdo QUICK!

did anyone ever think maybe the hair was not good for the baby skin…it might be all over the place the chemicals the hair sprays the mouse the gel ect…. so maybe be braided takes away the time of washing blow drying etc…I say keep up the good and you dont have to worry about it in the heat water and sun and she is spending more time to her family instead of siting in a make up chair….and for those that forgot she is african american and so is her husband and family…. its not her fault covergirl hair dyes look good on her even though its braided up look at the roots of the hair is black……Yes i wrote in lower case letters but who cares

People are not used to seeing Beyonce with this type of hairstyle. They’re used to the long, wavy, mane she usually sports, so of course people are going to comment on it. This doesn’t look like she was going for glamour, it looks more for comfort because if Beyonce wanted to, she could have easily rocked these braids as well.

I wore braids for years and absolutely loved them. They were extremely low maintenance, very versatile and can last for months. I could also experiment with various hair colors without chemically damaging my natural hair.

When cultures do not understand one another you can expect all types of comments both good and bad. It’s life.

With that being said, I absolutely love her braids – not that she’s old or anything, but I think they make her look younger.

I think Beyonce’s braid looks awesome on her and she wears them well and ALL of you know it. In fact,Beyonce’s braids are Not out of the ordinary from what other Afro American women are wearing and I don’t remember reading any negative comments about them!! Get a grip ladies and pull in your “claws”. Give credit where credit is DUE,and compliment OTHERS as you would have them do “YOU”. We should be seeking for opportunities to lift each other UP, instead, we not tare each other DOWN…..sad… So Give Beyonce her props ladies.She has worked hard to get where she is and deserves it. Be blessed…..

That looks more like what my dog does in the yard every morning than “hair”, but remember these sub-humans do not have hair and are desperately trying to emulate human attributes as they known they are an inferior sub-species.
