Something old, something new, something borrowed and something … blonde? Miley Cyrus debuted lightened-up strands this weekend — and we have to wonder if she’s testing out lock looks for her upcoming nuptials.

On Saturday, the engaged star Tweeted a photo (below) of her new hue, along with a caption poking fun at her new look: “Now that I’m blonde I gotta give duck lips in every photo.”

While skateboarding with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth in Los Angeles on Sunday, Cyrus gave onlookers a better view of her brighter hair color, which is a major departure from the auburn shade she’s been sporting this year. It also appears she trimmed off a few inches, too, just in time for the latest heat wave. Tell us: Do you think Cyrus simply wanted to go for a more summery style or is she thinking about what will look best with a white gown? Do you like her new hairstyle?

She looks good. She has the complexion where she can don any hair color and look good. Her fiance looks like her father.
