Are Selena and Justin Following in Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Footsteps?

The couple that gets styled together, stays together! It looks like pop’s current royal twosome, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, are taking note from music’s biggest power duo – Jay-Z and Beyoncé – by wearing matchy-matchy outfits.

The teen sensations attended the Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D premiere sporting coordinating ensembles. Gomez rocked a feathered pink Emilio Pucci mini teamed with Jimmy Choo cage heels, while Bieber complemented his lady in a pink coat, dark pants and a white T-shirt.

The look immediately gave us flashbacks to Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s jean-on-jean outfits, worn on the now-defunct TRL in 2002. Queen Bey donned a washed-out jean mini, heeled boots and a Yankees cap (we wonder what she thinks of the getup now?!) with Jay-Z , who also opted for head-to-toe denim.

It’s 10 years later and Beyoncé and Jay-Z are not only still together, but they’re worldwide superstars and proud parents. It looks like Bieber and Gomez are in it for the long haul — at least if their clothes are any indicator. Tell us: Do you think couples wearing matching outfits is cute or cheesy?
