Kristen Stewart made big beauty news when she was named the face of Balenciaga’s newest fragrance, Florabotanica, and now fans can finally get a look at the gorgeous ad campaign.

During an interview with WWD, Stewart admitted she was unsure about how she should pose for the photos. “When I first stood there, I was like, ‘OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that?’ And they were like, ‘Just be comfortable.’”

Along with approving of the futuristic floral ad (shot by famed photographer Steven Meisel), she’s also 100 percent happy with the fragrance.

“There is something natural about it,” the On The Road actress explained. “It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’”

The star also admitted that she was rather nervous to initially smell it. “I’m very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have done anything with [Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière],”she revealed. “And I’m a terrible liar.”

Florabotanica features notes of vetiver, amber and caladium-leaf accord, a (hybrid) rose, carnation and mint accord and is set to be released in September. Tell us: What do you think of the ad?

True, she doesn’t smile very much……yet there’s something that’s so hauntingly beautiful about this girl….very different!

Her comments make it sound like the fragrance is for just “young people” which is unfortunate.

Kristen Stewart is annoying, a horrible actress (with the one exception being her performance in The Runaways), completely awkward, and totally unattractive by Hollywood standards. I don’t get it.

Kristen Stewart is annoying, a horrible actress with the only exception being her performance in The Runaways, not attractive at all by Hollywood standards, and completely awkward in a bad way. I don’t get it.

I think Stewart is pretty and I don’t have some repulsion against her. I don’t think this ad makes her look stunning, however. In fact, I don’t like her in it at all.

She also tries too hard to look like she doesn’t care about her looks etc. which is completely lame. It’s like being a conformist in your non-conformity. If she didn’t care, she wouldn’t be famous. Also, you can’t be the cool, non-conformist, stoner chick and be in those horrible teeny bopper Twilight movies. She sucks.

Is that supposed to be a sexy photo? Falls pretty short if you ask me. That expression, oh my. I can’t believe people actually LIKE HER. I mean as a person I am sure she is wonderful, but as an actress, if you ask me, I’ll come right out and say she leaves alot to be desired.

She looks like a model … and by that I mean she has the same expressionless face and dead-behind-the-eyes stare.

I’m not generally a Kristen Stewart fan, but this does her no favors. The ad is chaotic, the dress fabric doesn’t flatter her skin tone, the photo touch-ups emphasize how skinny her arms and legs are and make her hips look big and round, etc. Then there’s her sullen and unkempt appearance…
This ad wouldn’t make me want to go check out the fragrance.
