Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s Closets Will Give You Serious Style Envy

06/28/2012 at 10:30 AM ET

Did you have a wardrobe like this when you were in high school? (Editor’s note: I still don’t!) The youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, teens Kendall and Kylie Jenner, let Oprah Winfrey take a peek inside their filled-to-the-brim closets on their recent family special for Oprah’s Next Chapter.

Kylie’s wardrobe room is filled with designer bags (including the Judith Leiber clutch she carried at sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding), Christian Louboutins and racks upon racks of clothing — the result of a shopping problem, according to older sis Kendall. “She literally shops all the time,” Kendall (in an ellelauri dress) tells Winfrey. “She’s a shopaholic, for sure. It’s bad.”

Kylie doesn’t get defensive, though — she actually agrees with her big sis! “I love it,” she says. “I love shopping.”

Apparently, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Check out their closets in the video above!

Why does this site make such minimal mention of celebrities of color? I think there are probably more interesting things going on in celebrity news than these girls’ wardrobes.

Monica on

And why is this news worthy???? PEOPLE you have got to buckle down and find REAL news. You remember? Back in the 80′s your magazine covered real life stories, tragedies and celebrations. Stories about the average Joe. Now it’s all celebrity BS. There are a ton of other magazines out there that do the same. How about going back to your old roots?

Benilde on

They should stick their nose in books and learn that something of value. It is sad when teenagers waste their time on something worthless like clothes.

Just Me on

Come on CamCam, celebrities of color as you so eloquently phrase it, get the same coverage as everyone else. Halle Berry, Zoe Saldana, Beyonce, and Rihanna just to name, a few frequently make the headlines. People like you are the ones continuing to push the race issue and cause problems for everyone else. Get over it!

Today on

Besides all the money they have Kardashian’s are worthless family

buddiesmama on

It’s hilarious that people are hating on teenagers! They are no different than most teens. They love fashion! Only difference? They have money and can pretty much get whatever they want. They also work. Not only on the show, but as models, etc. I wish my kids took as good of care with their clothes as these girls. They know they are privileged and hopefully they will continue to be grateful for their good fortune.

Mel on

Why does anyone care about what these over-priveledged, spoiled brats have in their closet? There are kids out there with so much less. What a joke!

Jenn on

You would think the parents would have learned a lesson and guided these girls towards education and not just a fancy lifestyle.

mrsmass on

People Magazine is really stretching out this Oprah special.

Jennifer on

More ways for Pimp Momma Kris to pimp out her kids for money. Like someone else here says, I don’t think that they are getting an education. So they are probably dumber than a box rocks. I thought I heard somewhere that these 2 girls would rather model than go to school.

If this selfish family didn’t have money, what would these 2 girls have to fall back on???

Tina on

Tell them to take them to the Thrift stores for the kid’s who have no clothes..who cares about the Kardashian’s…

nacho on

how soon before one of these girls is seen worldwide in a sex tape.. just following in big sister’s footsteps.

Haley on

Are they still talking about this?? i don’t understand what is the big deal, isn’t that why they have their show to expose their “real life” lives? puh leeze oprah, your wasting your money and time on these idiots!

Jon on

Saw the VIDEO, interesting!

Brandi on

Wow, you women are CATTY. Talking about a 14 or 16 yr old being in a sex tape. 1) Do a quick google search to see that both of these girls attend high school and at least one of them are cheerleaders there. Also, tell me the last time YOU donated all of your best clothes from your closet to a rescue mission or a thrift store. Or have volunteered in one. Or do ANYTHING to support charities. Didn’t think so. These are teenage girls you are bashing who have never done anything to make you hate them other than being in the family that you hate. Could it be that a teen girl is making you insecure? If so, that’s sad too.

Ari on

I used to love People. I am finished! I am deleting them from my Google page. How about stories about good samaritans who save lives,or children bravely fighting adversity, or animal rescue?? Good news stories or at least something more interesting than closets and baby bumps! Bye bye People!!

SusiQ on

How about more stories like the one about the doctor in Rushville, IL who only charged $5 per visit so that needy people could get health care. Oh, yeah, and the Supremes upheld the constitutionality of Obamacare; Boehner will REALLY cry now

Jessica on

@CamCam (on page1)—-why do you have to make this into a race issue?? Pathetic. There are plenty of stories about “people of color” on this website and many others. Stop with the race thing already. It becomes an issue only when people like you MAKE it an issue

jomama on

Really folks, did you not realize that this story was in the StyleWatch part of People, the clip is about how the girls love fashion/style, so what’s the problem with this video being on here. I actually saw the HGTV show where they remade these closets, you think theirs is nice, you should see their mom’s, I don’t think that my whole house is as big as her closet. I actually enjoyed watching the 2 Oprah shows on this family, they all seemed to understand that all of this “fame” (if that’s what you call it), could be over in a snap and they are OK with that, because they still have their stores to fall back on which started this whole thing with them. Kris wanted to market their stores in the beginning and the thought the show would help with that, little did she dream it would turn into such a huge “Kardashian Empire” as Oprah puts it. I do agree with a lot of folks that they should do more for charity, but how do we really know that they don’t, it may just be not publicized. Anyway, just my 2 cents!

J on

Cam Cam, you are all Drama-seriously “Just Me” is right-why are you contributing to all this “Race” drama when there isn’t any to BEGIN with??? It’s these kinds of comments that create more of all the feelings and hysteria of racial injustice–Just like John Burris and all his clients-Maybe we should we make all cops “Cops of Color” so that when people are arrested, or killed while shooting at a cop then it would be ok/fair or legitimate?? It’s like saying Because a cop was White not of “color” then there was a racial motive to arrest or use self defense.

Brandi on

Also, why on earth would you expect to read about world issues in the STYLE section of People magazine? Do you people not have access to CNN? Fox News? MSNBC? If I want to stay informed on world events, I don’t come to People’s style section to read about it.

When kendall first started modelling her father said that she would have to do good in school, otherwise he would have to pull her out of modelling..now kendall and kylie say that they like school but it is hard to keep-up.. my question is.. why is bruce letting them continue if it’s hard for them to keep-up.
I feel so sad that they aren’t realizing the value of their education- so sad!

Sarah Jean on

Oprah has reached a new low. So pathetically grasping for ratings…and to think this loser family is her ticket? The world is in bad shape.

Lacey on

Hey, Just Me? You mentioned about 5 celebrities of color. More specifically, Black celebrities. Newsflash: thats not a lot. At all. It seems to me that YOU’RE causing a problem for everyone with your caustic response. If you don’t want to discuss race, that’s fine. Just shush. But don’t this whole “race card” BS is ANNOYING; whenever anyone wants to discuss ANYTHING concerning race, it’s “pulling the race card”– No. Its actually opening up thoughtful dialogue about an issue that could be addressed. Well, it COULD be a dialogue… If people like you would pipe down or actually (gasp!) be a willing participant in a meaningful discussion instead of shutting it down before it even has the opportunity to begin.

Guest on

This is definitely puke-able, on so many levels. Why the heck is this NEWS????

Lizzie on

I sooooooo AGREE, how about STUDYING ENGLISH, MATH, CHEMISTRY (H20), 2 + 2 = 4, LEARNING HOW 2 LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE, A-F-T-E-R YOU’VE GROWN UP IN A TOTALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL “FAM”!!!!!!!!!!!

Meg on

Calm down everyone. This is a story in the StyleWatch section of people.com, what else do you expect them to write about? And who cares if they have a ton of clothes? I would have LOVED to have a closet like theirs at that age, and I’m sure most of you would have as well. They seem like nice girls, they go to high school, make money through modeling and the show, so why not buy clothes if they want to? It’s not a big deal.

J on

Don’t worry “Just Me”–Lacey is probably Cam Cam with a different user name-so ok Lacey and Cam Cam, how about Oprah, P Diddy, Brandy, Jennifer Hudson, Mel B. Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Kanye West, Nikki Minaj, Lil Kim, Megan Good, Vivica Fox, Vanessa Williams, Tyra Banks Star Jones etc. Then if you want to get into other minorities, let’s go with J Lo, Vanessa Lachey, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Camila Alves, Adriana Lima, Salma Hayek, Peneolope Cruz, and the list goes on-bottom line, what multiple people are saying to you is-it was a bit ridiculous to claim that there are no “Celebrities of Color” getting coverage. This is PEOPLE style watch so they cover different nationalities all the time. You don’t see Caucasian people going on BET throwing a fit complaining about not getting any Caucasian Coverage-or Caucasians making a huge fuss about not getting coverage in Ebony Magazine! They different versions of People-in foreign languages-if you would like to see what ever “color” it is that you are looking for, I suggest you narrow it down to one of those other versions of People or another specialized site that caters to whatever “Color” of celebrities you are looking for. This is obviously not the site for you. Thanks!

To each their own!

tina on

well, these girls actually seem like nice kids. they do work for the money they spend. they model and go to school. there are lots of rich kids out there that are WAY more spoiled than these girls. they have as much as the jenner girls, but don’t work for it, they just demand stuff. these girls work for it and know how lucky they are and that it could all be gone. so what’s the problem? they can’t help the family they were born in to.

marie on

I am not going to read this article. I just want to comment that I wish People and other magazines would not write about this family. They are publicity hounds and no one really cares what they do. I am sick of seeing articles on this family who does nothing for charity or society. Kris Jenner would prostitute her kids just to get them in the limelight and that is so sick.

kate on

“kardashian-jenner” they aren’t part of that …nor will they ever be…they aren’t kardashians, seems like they are riding the coattails and the momanger is making sure of that.

L on

These girls are delusional, it’s unfortunate that they are given everything they want and hardly have to work for it. I have respect for Kim who when from nothing to something, but these girls are just plain spoiled. When I was their age I was spending my summers working at McDonald’s not shopping and filling up a closet full of clothing that I never wear.

Leslee on

When you have all these things so young, it doesn’t give you “fashion goals” to earn as you work your way up. Life doesn’t begin and end with fashion but I think most of us know how nice it is to achieve being able to get something you really want and appreciate it because you had to wait :)

The beginner cook on

I think they are very sweet girls and i hope they stay that way :)

Donna on

Wow, queen oprah has sunk to a new low. Bringing more attention to that family.

Betty on

I’m not a huge fan of the Kardashians, but these 2 girls seem level-headed. People complain that their parents spoil them and they have too much, but if we all had the money and were able to provide for our kids like this we definitely would, right?

Cali on

Wow! Jealousy much!? Their rich get over it! It’s not like any of you people know them personally , so who are you to judge them you’rejust a bunch of nobody’s who have nothing better than to bash people all day.

momof4 on

this is great!!! meanwhile in the real world, thousands of people are starving, and thousands are homeless…..

Melissa on

This video makes me physically nauseous for several reasons. 1) That People Magazine would take the time to do a story on it. 2) That Oprah would also take the time to interview the girls about this and play into their sick lifestyle. 3) That Kendall and Kylie see nothing wrong with what they’re doing.

It’s truly sad that teens today look up to these girls. They may actually be good people, but their lifestyle choices don’t reflect that. I never hear anything about the Kardashians using their millions to help the less fortunate. They are only worried about making another season of their show to make more millions. And I don’t think that the blame should only be placed on them. They are just a case-in-point example of how many materialistic many celebrities and non-celebrities are, and how many people are actually “jealous” of that and wish that they could be them.

I am certainly not jealous. I just feel sad for them.

cynthia on

I absolutely loathe the way they ALL treat their father/husband Bruce they are ALL sooo disrespectful I am so appalled at their self centeredness when it comes to him He deserves so much better honestly I think Khloe and Lamar, Kris ,and Rob are the worst when it comes to even being kind to him. And Lamar? What? Didn’t he even have the balls or respect to ask for Khloe’s Hand in Marriage? He has been there for them for most their lives. Please Bruce go find a family that appreciates you and treats you with some slight degree of respect. It is sooo sad.

hotness at 46 on

these girls are in school, Kendall was on the cheerleading squad, kylie told mom and dad she needed a tutor, they have the schooling and the business going on. stop complaining you people these are not your girls.
