Former Bachelorette star, Ali Fedotowsky, is revealing secrets … no, not show secrets (darn!), but beauty ones!

“I barely wore any makeup before I did the Bachelorette,” the star tells PEOPLE. “Since the show, I’ve learned almost everything I know about makeup from the professional makeup artists … When they are doing my makeup I ask 500 questions. ‘Why are you highlighting there?’ ‘Why put bronzer on my neck but not under my eyes?'”

Now that she’s a semi-pro, the 1st Look host is working with OpenSky to reveal what’s in her makeup bag. Each week she shares one or two of her favorite products with the site; the items are then made available for purchase.

Her beauty essentials are relatively simple, one being Indie Lee Blemish Stick (top, left). “If you don’t have clear skin, then no matter what makeup you put on your face it won’t look the way you want it to,” she explains. “Having a blemish stick to carry with me on the go is a must, especially with all the traveling I do.”

A trade secret she learned from the professionals? Contouring. “I didn’t even know contouring existed before getting into the entertainment industry,” she reveals. “Now I’m obsessed with learning new techniques.” She recommends Ellis Faas Lights Highlighter pen (bottom, left).

Other obsessions include Vasseur skincare lotion (bottom, right) and Too Faced bronzer (top, right). “I truly believe that everyone looks better with a tan!” she quips.

I should get into the contour thing. People seem to love it! And it makes their skin look great.

Please let Chris be the next bachelor. Bring some ierngtity to the show and choose a sexy, sincere, well spoken man. You will gain more viewers by having him on your show. Some of your past bachelors have been dueche bags or suckups like Ali. There isn’t a sole out there that doesn’t like Chris.
