Kate’s Jubilee Dress: First Seen on Kim Kardashian

The Duchess of Cambridge was literally radiant in red for Sunday’s Diamond Jubilee festivities in London, wearing a pleated Alexander McQueen number paired with a matching hat. But as it turns out, we’ve seen this dress before — and, surprisingly, it wasn’t on Kate.

Kim Kardashian (who had another high-fashion faceoff last week) wore a similar version of the frock last August while in New York City. The reality starlet’s creation — a bit shorter — lacked the sleeves and boatneck detail of Kate’s dress. Kate paired her McQueen with nude pumps and a red clutch, while Kardashian accessorized with a statement necklace, metallic clutch and snakeskin platforms.

That’s an embarrassment to Kate to compare the two! Kate is worthy of her princess title. And Kim is worthy of…um…I’m not even sure!

They both pull it off better than I could even think of doing but with Kim, it just looks like a dress that you could buy at any little outlet. Kate makes it look classy and expensive.

I actually like the sleeveless dress better, but it’s too tight and too short on Kim Kardashian. Bet it would have looked great on Kate.
