Kate’s Jubilee Dress: First Seen on Kim Kardashian

The Duchess of Cambridge was literally radiant in red for Sunday’s Diamond Jubilee festivities in London, wearing a pleated Alexander McQueen number paired with a matching hat. But as it turns out, we’ve seen this dress before — and, surprisingly, it wasn’t on Kate.

Kim Kardashian (who had another high-fashion faceoff last week) wore a similar version of the frock last August while in New York City. The reality starlet’s creation — a bit shorter — lacked the sleeves and boatneck detail of Kate’s dress. Kate paired her McQueen with nude pumps and a red clutch, while Kardashian accessorized with a statement necklace, metallic clutch and snakeskin platforms.

I love it Kim! You are gorgeous. A hardworking modern woman who has created a great life out of hard work. Not someone who takes her education- disregards her hard work—to be her husband’s trophy! TEAM KIM!!!

Looking at the dresses, I would personally wear Kate’s version. Kim’s is too short for my style since I do not like showing a lot of leg. I honestly don’t think it makes sense to compare the two though.

Kate definitely looks better. The skirt is longer and thus more demure and formal. The notching at the bottom of the top flares on Kim because of her belly. It’s just not a flattering style on Kim. Kim should lengthen the skirt and retool the top part if she is going to wear it. Kim really needs to start dressing her age.
