Kate’s Jubilee Dress: First Seen on Kim Kardashian

The Duchess of Cambridge was literally radiant in red for Sunday’s Diamond Jubilee festivities in London, wearing a pleated Alexander McQueen number paired with a matching hat. But as it turns out, we’ve seen this dress before — and, surprisingly, it wasn’t on Kate.

Kim Kardashian (who had another high-fashion faceoff last week) wore a similar version of the frock last August while in New York City. The reality starlet’s creation — a bit shorter — lacked the sleeves and boatneck detail of Kate’s dress. Kate paired her McQueen with nude pumps and a red clutch, while Kardashian accessorized with a statement necklace, metallic clutch and snakeskin platforms.

Kim is too large for the dress and it’s too short for her. I would be surprised to see her in something that covers her and has long sleeves. Her accessories and blush are all wrong too. Whatever “style” Kim has, it can be found at the mall.

I love Kate but I have to say, this is a pretty loaded comparison. The woman is a Princess who people look up to and admire. I don’t hate Kim persay but a princess is going to trump her on her best fashion day.

No one is comparing the two of them. They are comparing the dresses. I think they both look fine. the dress has different vibe with each women. I just feel Kim’s looks a bit more current, whereas Kate looks dowdy. Sorry but this is about the dress and not the women.

The dress is a little trendy, yet refined and polished at the same time. Kim looks like she’s trying too hard to look refined an polished, which she is not. It looks effortless on Kate. I think Kim probably feels a little upstaged by Kate…and rightly so.
