As soon as Pantone declared “Tangerine Tango” to be the color of the year, we noticed the bright hue popping up in shop windows, on cool girls all over town and up and down the red carpet. It even translated to beauty, in the form of Sephora’s tangerine-tinged Pantone collaboration.

It seems Solange Knowles (definitely one of the cool girls!) picked up on this trend and decided to try the citrusy shade herself. But in a hard-to-pull-off twist, she coordinated her eye shadow and lipstick (playing up notes in her outfit and accessories) for an attention-getting monochromatic look.

What do you think of her makeup risk? Vote in our poll below!
