It doesn’t look like a sunflower to me either.

I love yellow diamonds and yellow gold but it’s not easy to put them together. A white diamond halo around the stone would boost it’s color significantly rather than it getting lost in a sea of somewhat dull yellow. Hopefully it looks better in person and the picture is just not reflective of it’s sparkle.

If she loves it and it makes her feel special, then it’s the very best ring of all though.

It’s not my taste and I don’t really think it looks like a sunflower (wouldn’t it need black?) But, it sounds like he paid attention to the things she likes in designing it which is really sweet and most likely means she likes it.

Nowhere does he say it “looks like a sunflower.” He said, “…so it’s like a sunflower.” I’m guessing that nobody would want a ring that actually looks like a sunflower.

They look super happy and that is what counts. Yes, it does not look like a sunflower, but who cares!!! He is not super rich and he tried to please her, that is what counts.

Yuck!

Ace looks like he needs a bath and a hair cut ASAP.

Aw it’s nice to see more people sporting yellow gold. My engagement and wedding rings are yellow gold, but my diamond is white (turns blue in the sunlight though!). I like that he didn’t give her a gaudy, cookie-cutter ring and it seems like she didn’t want that kind of ring. I think it’s pretty and I don’t usually like yellow diamonds. Congrats to them!

My husband gave me a very similar diamond for our engagement. I always loved it because it seemed to reflect a warm golden light, like love, not a cold, icy light. The yellow diamond was good luck for us and I know it will be for Ace and Diana. They are a beautiful couple, their strong, deep love really shows. Congratulations!

I didn’t see the proposal, but I’ve read a few comments that say that he mentioned the designer of the ring on the air…. my bet is that he either got the ring for free or got a deep discount…
No man mentions where he got the ring(unless it was from Jared)…especially after he just proposed…it shouldn’t even be in his head at that moment.

More important than if this ring looks like a sunflower or not is the fact that this man really pays attention to Diana`s thoughts, feelings, and wishes. That is more important than any gold or diamond!

Its nice to see a realistic ring. I know that some of the celebs are super wealthy and have ginormous budgets, but I know that Ace bought this one with his hard earned cash. Its not a Neil Lane 4 karat diamond that is somewhat of an endorsement becuase some famous person has it on. There was thought, meaning and hard work into that ring. Very sweet.

That was pretty bold of him to propose not only in front of a live audience, but to millions of people watching on TV. Good thing she said yes!

I did not know Ace was in Hair so that explains his style. I am happy for this couple but I do not think it was necessary to propose like that. Just like American Idol, it seemed so fake. It should be a private thing, not something seen by millions. The ring is pretty and I guess we are so jaded by other celebs’ rings that we think it is small. Most normal ladies are wearing rings exactly like it. So best of luck to Ace and Diana. They truly look like they are best friends and that is very important in a marriage.

I think all the ones on here that are slamming the ring or the couple must be very lonely. Who cares if he got the ring for free or if the ring has a small diamond. I don’t even wear real diamonds anymore. I wear the fakes for my wedding ring but my marriage is rock solid still after 20 yrs together, while everyone that I know that got married around me are getting divorced. There real rings did not make happy marriages so stop being so judgemental. I think they are going to gave a great marriage cause they are friends and that is what makes a happy marriage being best friends and then husband and wife,parents, etc
