Did Miley Cyrus Show Too Much Skin at the Billboard Music Awards?

We know her style’s been getting sexier lately — short-shorts and tube tops, two-piece dresses, super-high slits — but was Miley Cyrus‘s latest fashion moment too racy?

The starlet showed up to the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night wearing a plunging white Jean Paul Gaultier blazer … and not much else. She paired the jacket with simple jewelry, black-and-white peep-toe shoes and makeup by Tarte.

“I love white on white,” she told PEOPLE while walking the red carpet. “I love a good white party.”

The outfit, though giving the appearance of airiness, was still quite warm, however. “There are nooks and crannies that get sweaty, I swear,” Cyrus added.

To be fair, the show did take place in Las Vegas, so most stars’ styles definitely had an extra dose of sexiness, but is showing this much skin inappropriate for a 19-year-old? Let us know what you think in the poll below!

I actually LIKE this outfit for the most part. The jacket needs to be a bit more tailored for it to really rock though. Maybe a snugger fit and closed a little more at the top and maybe an inch or two more at the bottom and she is perfect!

If she covered her boobs a little bit more I think it would look fine. But you have to remember she grew up in the hollywood industry so she’s not going to dress and act like a normal 19 year old.

Miley is a very pretty young woman and she’s got a cute shape. I would have liked to see her be a little more modest…modesty lets the imagination wander and that can be sexy too.

Yet Beyonce’s see-through lace dress was not too much skin for a new Mom? How double standard does it get? Miley is completely covered. She is young, fit and beautiful. She conducted herself well, slippage, no fall out, no wardrobe malfunctions.
Get off her case! She is NINETEEN now. Legal age to do what she wants. Maybe the critics need to grow up! She certainly has.

Maybe she was going to work the streets after the show. Then yes, she was appropriately dressed. So obvious that she is crying out for attention. Her talent doesn’t hold our attention so I guess she figures she needs to resort to this. Unbelievable and just entirely inappropriate for her age no matter what city you happen to be in.
