How Adele’s Gone Incognito in London Lately

If you’re trying to spot Adele in London, look for the lady in the PJs. “I walked through Trafalgar Square on a Saturday afternoon — tourist haven — in pajamas,” the Grammy winner tells Matt Lauer in the upcoming NBC Adele Live in London special.

Even more shocking? The songstress was wearing color. “I’m always in black,” she says. “It was this tracksuit, with a massive green coat and little pink pumps. I had this massive umbrella so no one recognized me.”

The superstar says a few onlookers did do a double-take, but no one approached her. “A couple looked around, but they were like, ‘No … she’s in color and what would she be doing walking around a packed Trafalgar Square on Saturday in pajamas?’” she jokes.

During the special, Adele also speaks about her 2012 Grammy performance; it was her first time back onstage after her throat surgery, but she was thinking about more than just her voice. “I had three or four pairs of Spanx on that night,” she reveals, laughing. “I took a few pairs off when I sang, though.”

As a guy, I find her to be quite beautiful. (Sidenote: No, I’m not a “chubbychaser”. I do like women who are fit.) But she has a gorgeous face and while she could stand to lose some pounds for health reasons, she wears it well and I think she is pretty hot.

Sam, you clearly don’t know talent nor Adele…she does not scream into a mic and has a beautiful, strong, powerful voice. As to society calling her fat…there used to be a time where beauty was not about being stick thin. Marilyn Monroe, a size 16 at her largest, was a sex symbol during her time. Weight should not be the deciding factor as to whether or not someone has talent. Adele is very talented and beautiful!

Such an inspiration! So much feelings, and emotions. I am so glad that there is a singer out there who can make it because she is talented and not because she dances around half-naked in her videos. Moreover, she is gorgeous!

I believe that we should all have to post a picture of ourselves when we post so that we can see what all the haters really look like. They are so disgusting, OR their nasty comments should not be accepted.

I think Adele has an amazing voice.

As for the Marilyn Monroe being a size 16 at her heaviest, it was a size 16 AT THAT TIME. It’s closer to a size 8 or 10 in today’s size – and that’s AT HER HEAVIEST. Her clothes were custom tailored, and she had amazing proportions, but she was smaller than most American women of today.

Adele is fresh, innovative and is the only singer worth listening to nowadays. NBC corrected the date given in their article for the show – it will be aired Sunday, June 3rd, @8pm ET.

I love that none of those ignorant people gave her kudos for the weight she lost a couple years ago. She lost about 40 pounds. As for the uneducated person that says she weighs 400 lbs…you need help. Most websites say she’s about 165…I would’ve said nothing over 180. We do have to remember that tv and pics can make people look heavier. But you rude people…that are probably fat yourselves…sit behind a computer and boost your self-esteem by making fun of celebs. Just remember…those celebs don’t care one bit about you…and they have a life you’ll NEVER have!!!

I did not know the way to go incognito is to tell everyone where and how you dress when you are incognito. Kind of doesn’t make sense.
I like Adele, and she has a good voice. . .and as far as her having weight on her who cares.

Adele is amazingly talented and gorgeous, all I wish for her is health and hapinees in her career and most of all in her life.

As for the comment that Marilyn was a size 16 this is a BLATANT lie and myth. Marilyn’s measurements were 35-22-35. She was NOTHING close to a size 16. The average female waist size in the 50′s was 25 inches, it is now 35 inches. That says it all.
