Not the best choice. If I were a company selling perfume, my spokesman would be a young, smokin-hot bachelor type like Ryan Gosling or Adrian Grenier (oh, mama) – not a settled down father of six that is way past his prime. Even George Clooney, although older, is more sexy these days than Brad Pitt.

First of all, very few men buy scents for themselves that aren’t on the aisle at the drugstore/grocery store and it’s that “older” established (read that ‘rich’) guy who can afford Chanel. There’s a lot of negativity and shade. Oh well, I think Pitt is appropriate for an aspirational brand who views its fragrances as a loss leader. He is both accessible and controversial, which is exactly what you want in a spokesperson. Basically, the negative comments and the fact you couldn’t resist the urge to make them tells Chanel they’ve made the right choice. So good on y’all haters!

I agree this is a bad picture but who looks good in all pictures taken. I like him a lot but I don’t wear cologne or perfume. I have it but always forget to put it on. Also others wear enough for everyone. Brad was just at some award show and had a great hair cut. Short and neat. Men age so much better than women. Not fair.

He doesn’t look any dirtier than Johnny Depp does most of the time and people think he’s the living end. What’s the difference? Same hair and scraggly facial hair. Same messy clothing. And the thirty and above crowd which is most likely their target buyer group won’t go for some way too young man/boy unless they’re cougars who want babies instead of real men closer to their age. And that doesn’t work out too well for most women in the end…Demi I’m looking at you…Let’s face it, men stay sexy into their later years and the majority of women don’t get that lucky. Unfortunately we get the shaft during aging more often than not. And that’s why the younger men eventually turn to their own age or younger women. It sucks but it’s the truth.

Love Brad Pitt for his humanity. All the haters here ought to see the good work he continues to do for the forgotten people in New Orleans.

Brad Pitt will be the perfect spokesman/model for Chanel No.5……his face, name, body, anything about him, attracks female attention and adoration. As for his long hair – only a VERY masculine man can wear his hair as Brad does and still look desirable. He has the masculine face that makes it possible. His eyes and smile would make him desirable if he were covered in mud! Brad has matured from a “handsome heart-throb” to a mature, very sexy, very desirable, experienced man who knows who he is and does NOT have to look like everyone else. He is his own man…and women love it and him! No one wears a tux, suit, jeans casual – or nothing at all – better than Brad Pitt. Brad can have women of any age, social status or country “weak in the knees” simply by smiling at them, or just standing there. As is proven by the throngs of female fans that turn out any time he appears, anywhere. I hope the Chanel ads will appear in the USA..not just Europe. Can’t wait to see them.
Chanel No. 5 sales WILL soar….I know I will buy it…and I haven’t in years! Those of you who have so much negative to say about Brad – is it all tinged with a bit of “green-eyed envy?” I think so! Brad Pitt – he’s the BEST!
