Brad Pitt Is the New Face of Chanel No. 5

Brad Pitt is keeping busy amidst all the wedding planning — the actor was just announced as the new face of Chanel No. 5. The French fashion house confirmed the news to PEOPLE earlier this morning.

The Academy Award-nominated star is reportedly shooting his first ad in London sometime this week, according to E! News.

It’s the first time in history that the house has chosen a man to represent the fragrance. Pitt joins the likes of Nicole Kidman, Vanessa Paradis, Audrey Tautou, Ali MacGraw and Lauren Hutton.

According to reports, Pitt will be paid seven figures for his work; his ad will be released overseas later this year.

Perfect Choice Chanel…these youngins wanting Chris so & Chris so so (Avengers) have no idea what a well seasoned simmered man like Mr Pitt has to offer…Cant wait to see the campaign…It will be the TALK of the (ALL) the Town. Want to see Brad in some-type REMAKE of Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind or simular movie/role…He looks/his presense so much like Gable…Makes that screen SMOKE….Me too. Congrats Brad. Angie would make good as VivianLeigh as Scarlet 2. Great Actors(.) Just dont make any like those 2 anymore. Top of the list this century.

I agree this is a bad picture but who looks good in all pictures taken. I like him a lot but I don’t wear cologne or perfume. I have it but always forget to put it on. Also others wear enough for everyone. Brad was just at some award show and had a great hair cut. Short and neat. Men age so much better than women. Not fair.

He doesn’t look any dirtier than Johnny Depp does most of the time and people think he’s the living end. What’s the difference? Same hair and scraggly facial hair. Same messy clothing. And the thirty and above crowd which is most likely their target buyer group won’t go for some way too young man/boy unless they’re cougars who want babies instead of real men closer to their age. And that doesn’t work out too well for most women in the end…Demi I’m looking at you…Let’s face it, men stay sexy into their later years and the majority of women don’t get that lucky. Unfortunately we get the shaft during aging more often than not. And that’s why the younger men eventually turn to their own age or younger women. It sucks but it’s the truth.
