Forget about a hospital gown.

When it comes time to welcome her little girl into the world, soon-to-be mom Jessica Simpson hopes to make a fashionable first impression.

“I just woke up from a dream that I wore a leopard caftan in the hospital,” the Fashion Star mentor, who’s expecting her first child with fiancĂ© Eric Johnson at the end of the month, Tweeted Tuesday. “Fabulous!! Now I need to find one!” May we offer some suggestions?

QVC has two suitable options: a Dennis Basso caftan (above, left) complete with beaded neckline (on sale for $44.86) and another — appropriately in petites! — by Joan Rivers (above, right, on sale for $33.36).

ASOS has its own offering, an asymmetrical Helene Berman kaftan with a V neckline and wide-cut bracelet-length sleeves (on sale for $87.26). And for something a bit fancier, there’s Natori’s floor-length option from Neiman Marcus (also on sale, $81).

Simpson, who’s taken maternity style to new heights throughout her pregnancy — often rocking heels — recently refuted rumors she had already given birth.

“I’m still pregnant!!” Simpson, who celebrated her dream baby shower in March, Tweeted to fans. “Don’t believe what you read ladies and gents.”

In all seriousness, she can get a couture hospital gown from Cure-Couture.com

They’re a really cool company, and I love their products. If I knew I were going in the hospital long term, I would consider it seriously – they aren’t that expensive.

Simpson, a spoiled daddy’s girl, has grown into a woman who thinks that everyone loves her like Daddy loves her. Well, honey, we don’t. You are not special or unique in any useful way that I can see.
Broadcasting your pregnancy is annoying to 300 million Americans and probably the rest of the planet as well. You are also setting up your unborn child for a lifetime of cameras, intrusion, and scrutiny. Is that what you want for your unborn child?
Get some humility, get back to your Higher Power, and stop worshipping yourself. There are vital issues in this world and your pregnancy is not one of them. So shut up.

My BF said last night “I think she has a demon child. Hasn’t she been pregnant 5 years?”

My BF said last night “I think she has a demon child. I feel like she’s been pregnant at least 5 years.” I feel the same. For God’s sake, give birth.

Have the baby, end the seems-like-two years pregnancy and stop talking about it already!

I love the Joan Rivers one; with the waistline like that it almost looks like it’s supposed to be a maternity caftan … and even I could afford it. It probably has a Joan Rivers tag in the back though … so I’d probably cut that out.

I love how everyone is saying that it feels like she has been pregnant forever. There was speculation and then she made it official at Halloween with her mummy pic. Generally people wait until 12 weeks or 3 months to announce it. Guess what, October was 6 months ago. You do the math. And trust me, now that I’m in my third pregnancy there is nothing more annoying than other people saying you have been pregnant forever because it feels even longer to the woman herself.
