Forget about a hospital gown.

When it comes time to welcome her little girl into the world, soon-to-be mom Jessica Simpson hopes to make a fashionable first impression.

“I just woke up from a dream that I wore a leopard caftan in the hospital,” the Fashion Star mentor, who’s expecting her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson at the end of the month, Tweeted Tuesday. “Fabulous!! Now I need to find one!” May we offer some suggestions?

QVC has two suitable options: a Dennis Basso caftan (above, left) complete with beaded neckline (on sale for $44.86) and another — appropriately in petites! — by Joan Rivers (above, right, on sale for $33.36).

ASOS has its own offering, an asymmetrical Helene Berman kaftan with a V neckline and wide-cut bracelet-length sleeves (on sale for $87.26). And for something a bit fancier, there’s Natori’s floor-length option from Neiman Marcus (also on sale, $81).

Simpson, who’s taken maternity style to new heights throughout her pregnancy — often rocking heels — recently refuted rumors she had already given birth.

“I’m still pregnant!!” Simpson, who celebrated her dream baby shower in March, Tweeted to fans. “Don’t believe what you read ladies and gents.”

I cannot believe the individuals that whine and complain about the whole marriage thing. She did it once already give her a break and use any celebrity as a role model for your own kids? The first role model should be you and if you need a celebrity to put forth morals and ethics you should have not had kids. I know that I make sure to tell my kids what was appropriate and what was not. I teach them about good and bad consequences. A kid does drugs the parents are the first to blame television or the movies but who really had the choice of allowing them to go. Don’t give me the garbage of they would have did it any how. That’s when you set restrictions and tell them no. It doesn’t hurt a kid to hear no. All in all the parent is suppose to be the responsible one and the role model first. you don’t want your kid looking up to a celebrity tell them what is good or bad with that individual. by the way looking at the positive in an individual does wonders there is one to preach to you all. People are quick to point out everyone’s flaws. Everyone has something good or bad about them focus on the good and you will be surprised at how positive your outlook on life becomes.

@BB I think she is more worried about delivering a happy baby at this moment than she is about planning a wedding…and if she never does that is none of your business….as long as people are happy who cares. Also just and FYI for you….this is 2012….not 1950!
