Princess Charlene of Monaco Chops Her Hair

Prince Albert of Monaco has said he loves his wife, Princess Charlene, at her most basic. “To me, Charlene never looks more beautiful than when she is natural — without makeup and her hair pulled back,” he told Vogue last summer.

So we’re guessing her new haircut — which she debuted at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters tennis tournament over the weekend — is a huge hit with her husband. The Princess stepped out at the event — where Rafael Nadal took the crown — showcasing a closely cropped new do. Though the Princess has never been one to wear her hair down, she’s often pulled her longer locks back into sleek ponytails and updos, as she did for her July wedding.

In the same 2011 Vogue interview, Wittstock told the magazine she was feeling more confident in her personal style. “I’m starting to play with fresher, bolder, and more daring looks,” she said. “I’ve reached the point where I know what I like and what works.” Tell us: What do you think of Princess Charlene’s haircut?

Such a pretty woman too bad she let the gardener hack her hair. That style would look beautiful on her classic features IF it was cut right and not so chunky in the back.

That haircut (if you can call it that), looks like it was done by a goat! That short hair and lines on the face, plus the men’s jacket looks very manly.

makes her look much much older…..

She looks old and washed out. Not a good look at all.

I think she looks beautiful as always. I like the fact that she is just being herself. It is great that she changes her look if she did not i would be bored and tired of her. She is confident in her own skin and I have mad respect and love for that. If she was not confident she could not pull off any look but she does. Some people keep saying she is not happy. I do not see a woman that is unhappy instead I see someone who is not afraid to take chances and does what she wants to. She does not care what anyone thinks and I would either. She is tough and doing an excellent job as Princess of Monaco. South Africa and Prince Albert should be very proud of his choice despite what others may think.

She really looks good in short hair.

Princess Diana had VERY short hair and it worked. Princess Charlene’s new do is more like the old Beckham. It can look good, but she really needs to use more makeup, more accessories and stop wearing suits!!! When Charlene first married Prince Albert she looks gorgeous, her makeup and syle was just right, I hope she goes back to those styles and starts to use more makeup – when she does she is beautiful.

I think that her hair looks great. She has a beautiful face and now the confidence to wear a hairstyle that the she knows looks good on her. I don’t think that this is a “butch” haircut as someone put it in a not-very-nice way. I agree, shorter hair is more flattering on women over 30. Longer hair generally drags down the face.

She looks horrible! Not only does she look manly but the haircut ages her. Charlene’s hott factor has definitely gone down.
