Ashton Kutcher on His Haircut: 'Jesus Wanted His Look Back'

Charlie Sheen wasn’t the only thing cut from the Two and a Half Men set this season: Ashton Kutcher‘s scruff recently got the ax as well.

“Jesus wanted [his look] back so I gave it to him,” Kutcher joked of his clean-shaven face and short hair at a PaleyFest panel in Los Angeles Monday.

In reality, it was the show’s writers — not divine intervention — that were responsible for Kutcher’s new look: his character, Walden Schmidt, was introduced in the CBS series’ ninth season premiere with long locks and a shaggy beard that have since disappeared.

“We wanted to tell a story about being in a relationship and being pressured to change,” show creator Chuck Lorre said of Walden’s budding relationship with Zoey (Sophie Winkleman). “Walden pushed back and said, ‘You can’t change me. This is who I am.’ But once she stopped trying he got a haircut and changed.”

So what does Kutcher think of his new look?

“I actually was enjoying looking homeless,” he joked.

“People just gave him quarters,” added costar Jon Cryer. Tell us: What do you think of Kutcher’s clean-cut look?

I really don’t care how the man wears his hair. I don’t think much of him any ways.

The new Two and a Half men grows on you. I watched the Christmas repeat the other night about the gorilla and it was quite funny. I do like the clean cut look better. He and Jon Cryer might pull this off. I hope they do.

Too bad he wasn’t cut from two and a half men. The Jesus remark wasn’t insulting to me since I believe Jesus has to have a sense of humor with all those republicans running around acting all judgmental and all… but really he has brought nothing to the show.

Gosh dont know what anyone sees in him – he is not that good looking, he can not act, and he is no Charlie!

He looks much much better without all the scruff.

Bonnie on

he’s even uglier, if that’s possible. . .

What a jerk. Poking fun at homeless people and putting himself on the same level as Jesus. I’m not uber religious but seriously. I am so over arrogant Hollywood-they really believe they are above the rest of us -those of us that pay their bread and butter. Better hope you are never homeless Jack!

Ashton, I thought you were into Ka-babble. I don’t think it’s smart to joke about Jesus hair when you cheated on your wife when you were married. It’s time to grow up; start acting your age.

Ashton is handsome and funny. Im a Christian and don’t take offense at his comment. People need to learn to laugh at themselves. Move on people, who cares what Ashton does. It’s his life….now go live your own……sheesh

He looks ADORABLE again, I just HATE long hair on a man.
