Viola Davis Wears Her Hair Natural at the Academy Awards

Looks like she took her husband’s advice! After making waves with her striking short hairstyle on the cover of the Los Angeles Times Magazine, Viola Davis admitted that, thanks to encouragement from hubby Julius Tennon, she was planning to embrace her natural locks — and at Sunday’s Academy Awards, she did just that.

Offsetting her rich reddish crop with an emerald-hued Vera Wang gown and glamorous green earrings, Davis looked completely comfortable — and totally stunning — as she walked down the carpet to take her seat in the theater as a best actress nominee for The Help. Says the star of changing up her style, “It gives me flavor. It makes me feel like I’m spicing up my life a bit.”

She looks beautiful! I wish more actresses and other high-profile black artists would revert to their natural hair. I am so tired of seeing young blacks, who can’t afford expensive stylists, wearing long, luxurious hair in various hues, that really look ridiculous. Maybe Viola’s new look will start a whole new trend.

Viola is stunning, wish I could pull of a short do like her! I feel she got ripped off too,she should have won an ocscar, she is a pheonomenal actress, she has come a long way since Antwoine Fisher.
