The Reason Behind Drew Barrymore's Frequent Tress Changes
“I don’t feel comfortable staying the same for too long,” she told reporters Friday at the Marni for H&M bash at the Sowden House in Los Feliz, Calif. “I always say, ‘What if?.’ But I’m not patient enough for ‘What if?'”
So instead of waiting for the seasons to change, or matching her roots to her ends, the actress likes to experiment. “I’d rather go all the way and then say, ‘Oh, that didn’t work,'” she said.
Last year, Barrymore’s colorist Tracey Cunningham affirmed the fact that the actress likes to keep her look fresh. “We like to try new things when the seasons change,” she said, noting that her client is a good candidate for multiple hair hues. “Her skin is so pretty that any hair color will complement her eyes.”
No kidding! In September of 2009, the actress worked light blonde hair with black tips while promoting her film Whip It, then moved on to practically a reverse color scheme, sporting darker roots with lighter ends, a look she owned for quite some time. She’d previously sported red hair in 2007 and 2008, as well. Tell us: Which hair color is your favorite for Barrymore?
