In addition to an astounding six Grammy awards, there is another golden addition to Adele‘s life: that gorgeous blonde do!

The singer’s lighter look (she used to rock a deep reddish hue) is the handiwork of colorist Lucy Holbrook at the Daniel Galvin salon in London.

“We decided to color Adele’s hair a honey-colored blonde as it suited her complexion and really brought out the color of her eyes,” she explains. “It was important to elect a color¬†with plenty of depth to complement the bouncy voluminous styles that she favors.”

Lino Carbosiero, the salon’s creative director, was responsible for those Veronica Lake waves. “We made Adele’s hair shoulder-length and cut a long layer through the back so as to give her a bit of swing and some natural movement,” he explains. “We wanted to create an old classic with a modern twist.” Tell us: What do you think of the look?

I LOVE Adeles’ new haircolor and style. It is absolutely beautiful as is she AND her voice! It is so wonderful to finally welcome a celebrity who is happy with herself and doesnt feel the need to change just to suit other people. Adele rocks!!

I think her hair looks fantastic and she is beautiful.

The colorist calls it ‘honey’ so why do you folks call it platinum – which it certainly isn’t/

She looks good but she looked great with the red hair. Red isn’t as easy to pull off so you don’t see it as much. I think she looked more exotic with the red. But it’s Adele…she’s still be fabulous bald.

man, i think salon’s are so full of s***! all the fancy talk really amounts to nothing much. it’s all just to appeal to the sheep … and i’m afraid it’s working!

@anonymous – “haters”? Really? What are you? 12?

I’m not sure how thinking she was far more beautiful with darker hair, or how her skin isn’t the right tone for her current hair colour, makes one a “hater”, but whatever, honey.

And, no, hardly old or wrinkly here. But, again, at the age you obviously are, anything over 20 is probably “old” and “wrinkly”. Please grow up and don’t post again until you have.

I think Adele, her voice and her hair are fabulous.I will miss her on her hiatus, but I hope she enjoys her rest and earnings.

not bad, she is 19yrs old, she is looking like an old woman, should have used the colour and used a different style on her, and the outfit also made her look so much older, worn an outfit that is hip and young………she reminds me a lot of bridget bardott, imagine using ideas from her hey days….

She obviously still looks great, but I miss the red!

She wears WAY too much make-up.
