I did that one afternoon with my art scissors. Of course I was only 4 yrs old at the time. Mom was not happy. While you call it edgy and modern, it will take forever to grow out and she will end up cutting all her hair to bring it back even, which is probably why Willow Smith cut all hers. Not even hair extensions will fix that.
But, it is her hair and if that is what she wants, well… more power to her. After all, it is only hair. It will grow on her.

People would PAY to have your dark gorgeous hair. Once you start to color it, your hair is NEVER the same again.

The mom in me absolutely cringes when I see this as I have a daughter with waist length hair, and I would be devestated if she did that. The rational part of me says it’s just hair, it grows back. Either way, Lourdes is a beautiful girl, and if this is how she shows her rebellion, then ok. (cringe)

I would never allow my 14 year old daughter to do this. Unacceptable! When she turns 18, she can do what she wants (as long as she isn’t living under my roof).

Nothing wrong with it except I don’t like the fact it doesn’t have a straight edge to it where the shaven part meets the long part .My daughter shaved part of her hair before and she was 13 at the time,it look fine ,I liked it.Madonna’s daughter could pull all types of styles off.I think she is way prettier than her mother ever was.

She isn’t the first one to wear this hairstyle. There was a blonde on “the Sing Off” that had the style too. I think she was in the girls group called Delilah’s.

Lourdes’ hair looks just fine; my daughter has sported that same look for the last 6 months, and no one is the least bit put out by it… not even her employer. It’s just hair, people. Color washes out or fades, and hair grows back!

Well it is the in cut for the young kids and teenagers, so why not? and one of the beautiful things about hair is that it grows back.

Not like it’s the first time the shaved underside has been around. Had it in my age group when I was just a year or two younger than her.

I don’t think It’s that big of a deal. I had hot pink streaks in my hair when I was fourteen. My sister is a hairdresser and I let her play with my hair. Now I am nineteen and and have a half-shaved haircut with black, pink, and blonde in it. It’s just hair it grows back! :D

This makes me ill. I have alopecia areata, and my hair is finally starting to grow in, after a year of injections on my scalp. On my temples, I rejoice to see regrowth that looks like Lourdes’ stubble. To think that Lourdes would do this on purpose boggles my mind. My daughter just turned 17 and dyes her hair a different color every few months, and has 2 piercings in her lips (she has had them since 15), she wears skinny jeans, and studded belts….but she is well behaved, has never gotten into any trouble, A & B honor roll at school, she is graduating next yr and she will be attending college working towards being an MD. Looks like she cut her hair herself because it doesn’t look like a professional did it and with her dyeing her hair, I say “Go For It Girl”. I dyed my hair purple, my parents weren’t too happy after they saw it, but it’s my hair and I will color it whatever color I want. After all it’s only hair, it’ll grow out eventually.
