When that devastating earthquake struck Japan last year, Michael Kors was one of the famous faces that stepped up to help, selling a limited-edition handbag in support of the Great East Japan Earthquake relief effort during Fashion’s Night Out in Tokyo. Intended to be a one-off, it was so popular that the Project Runway judge decided to bring the bag back, selling it online exclusively today and in select boutiques beginning tomorrow. The Hamilton bag, a berry-hued carryall made of embossed python, is $348 and adorned with a special keychain carrying “Michael Hearts Japan” and MK logo charms. One-hundred perfect of proceeds from the bag’s sales will benefit the Japanese Red Cross Society, with the funds earmarked for earthquake relief. “Japan is an incredible country with such proud people,” Kors said in a release. “I am so honored to be involved in the community and its revitalization.”
