Rachel Zoe Launching Two New Collection Categories

“I’d have to kill you if I told you.” That’s the taunt we get from Rachel Zoe in the clip above, where she announces she’s launching two new top-secret categories for her eponymous collection this February.

Of course we’ll wait it out, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be guessing; considering she already has ready-to-wear, shoes and bags, the options are somewhat limited. Could they be beauty and accessories, in conjunction with her latest newsletters?

Kate, Pippa Middleton Top Poll of Best in Beauty

Kate Middleton Picks a Dress Designer!

She topped several best-dressed lists in 2011, and the Duchess of Cambridge earned yet another style honor this week: she was named the top beauty icon of the year in a 3,000-woman poll.

Interestingly, Kate’s younger sister Pippa came in second in the vote, run by U.K. drugstore Superdrug; both girls were hailed for their fresh makeup and glossy hair. U.K. X Factor judge Cheryl Cole was third on the list.

Though the poll ran in England, many American celebs made the top 20, too, including Beyoncé (seventh place), Katy Perry (ninth), Lady Gaga (12th) and Angelina Jolie (18th). Emma Watson and Adele were among the other British-bred honorees. (See the complete list at the Daily Mail.)

“Everyone in the list has a distinct look, whether it’s natural beauty, full octane glamour or a love of beauty trend-hopping,” Superdrug director of beauty Sara Wolverson told the Daily Mail, adding that four of the top five vote-getters happened to be brunettes.

Florence Welch: Gray Goddess, or Grave Mistake?

Harrods Sale with Florence Welch

Sure it was Chanel, but was Florence Welch’s head-to-toe black-and-gray ensemble a fashion faux pas? The singer wore the gown and cape while kicking off the annual Harrods post-holiday sale in London Tuesday, but her look raised more than a few well-groomed eyebrows.

Regardless, the singer stunned, belting “What the Water Gave Me” and “Shake it Out” backed by an acoustic guitar. According to U.K.’s Stylist, she was the first musician to ever perform at the legendary sale.

After her brief concert, Welch spoke to Stylist about her personal relationships with designers like Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and Gucci’s Frida Giannini, who designed her summer tour costumes. And she revealed that there are a few rising stars she’d someday like to work with. “I love Erdem,” she shared. “I’ve met with Sarah Burton, and as well as being so, so nice, the work she has done at Alexander McQueen is just incredible.”

They’re heeere! Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde’s first advertisements for Revlon debuted on Friday, and as expected, they’re perfectly pretty. Stone’s ad plays up her warm pink skin tone and red hair, while Wilde’s is dramatically different, featuring icy blue hues and other cool colors.

According to WWD, the ads are designed to present “archetypes that every woman can connect to.” Julia Goldin, global chief marketing officer for Revlon Inc., tells the trade mag, “It’s about giving [a customer] the tools, inspiration and encouragement to express herself, which should also give her more confidence.”

Is Paris Hilton Wigging Out?

Paris Hilton Hairstyle

New hair color alert — or just new hair? Paris Hilton hit Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Monday sporting long black locks under a black leather hat.

Though she remained mum on the topic — avoiding any talk of hair color on Twitter — it’s not the first time the starlet has tried going brunette. She’s sported dark wigs multiple times in the past several years, often posting photos online for fans to see.

However, just days before her Beverly Hills blackout, Hilton was spotted in Aspen looking blonde as usual. Perhaps the heiress is going dark for a day in homage to her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aunt, Kyle Richards? Tell us: What do you think of Hilton’s dark hair?

Kristin Chenoweth: I’m a Big ‘Comfort Freak’

Kristin Chenoweth may look majorly glam while performing on Broadway or hosting the American Country Awards, but don’t let that fool you: the petite vocal powerhouse (and voice of Listerine’s new campaign) loves nothing more than dressing down.

“When I’m on tour or performing, I’m sucked and plucked and squeezed and teased,” the self-professed “comfort freak” jokes. “So I want to do the opposite of that when I’m just me and living my life.” Though she’s partial to tees by Vince and Splendid, the 4’11″ star admits she’s petite enough to shop at GapKids — and has picked up some tips for dressing a small frame along the way.

“Never, never, never wear a high-waisted pant!” she admonishes. “I did try it, and I looked pregnant.” Her list of dos? “Solids are great. If you’re going to do stripes, they have to be wide,” she says. “And elongating — always. I like a lighter heel that blends with my skin if I’m wearing a short dress.”  Read More
