Exclusive Sneak Peek: Alexa Chung Brings the Drama on ’24 Hour Catwalk’

Snarky comments, tons of tension … and live snakes? This isn’t Project Runway, it’s 24 Hour Catwalk, Lifetime’s newest fashion design series, hosted by model Alexa Chung. The show, which kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime, pits four designers against one another to create collections and stage a runway show in, you guessed it, just 24 hours.

Each standalone episode features a “first-cut challenge” and elimination, narrowing the field to the two designers who’ll compete in the runway show. Contestants are assigned a team of professional sewers — all of whom have strong opinions on style — and present their three-piece collections in front of a panel that includes designer Cynthia Rowley, fashion editor Derek Blasberg and publicist James LaForce, plus Chung.

Rachel Zoe has very little on her holiday wish list this year — “just spending time with my family,” she told PEOPLE — but she’s gearing up to go shopping for the men in her life, husband Rodger Berman and son Skyler.

“I buy something for my son like every other day,” she joked. “But I haven’t really had time for holiday shopping yet — I think I’ll probably cram everything into a two-day shopping period.”

Speaking to PEOPLE at the Piperlime Piping Hot Lounge in New York on Wednesday, the stylist — who’s been a guest editor on the site for five years — admitted she’s an online shopper. “I love it because I don’t get to go to stores as much as I’d like to,” she said. Her favorite web stops? “I love neimanmarcus.com, saksfifthavenue.com, bergdorfgoodman.com, shopbop.com,” she said. “But Piperlime is awesome because it has everything.”

Gifts to Give: Jingle G Fragrance

Gwen Stefani Perfume

If we could, we’d take Gwen Stefani home with us and make her our personal stylist. Sadly, we can’t do that, but we can bottle her up thanks to Jingle G ($25 at sephora.com), the newest fragrance from her Harajuku Lovers line. The scent features notes of gardenia, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla and cedarwood (plus more), but what we love the most is the adorable packaging: it’s like someone took Stefani, made her mini and dressed her in a Santa Suit! The bottle comes with a built-in hook so you can hang it on your tree or pack it into a stocking; we can only hope we find a bottle in our sock this holiday season.
