Will Anne Hathaway wear a Valentino gown on her wedding day? The young star of The Devil Wears Prada is notoriously close with designer Valentino Garavani, so while she called in sick to the opening-night party of his Virtual Museum in New York on Wednesday night, that didn’t stop other guests from speculating on what she might wear when she weds fiancé Adam Shulman.

Stylist Rachel Zoe, who’s worked with Hathaway for nearly seven years, indicated that choosing a wedding dress designer might be difficult for the actress. “But it should be interesting,” she continued. “She’s so young and such a romantic. It will be a fashion ‘moment’ whatever she decides.”

Angelina Jolie’s Directorial Dress: Basic Black

Angelina Jolie Movie Premiere
Jennifer Graylock/INF; Dave Allocca/Startraks

She’s always been taken seriously as an actress thanks to roles in films like A Mighty Heart and her Oscar win for Girl, Interrupted, but with her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey hitting theaters Dec. 23, Angelina Jolie is seemingly taking her style to a more sophisticated level.

Jolie premiered the film in New York City on Monday wearing a floor-length black silk Ralph Lauren skirt and equally flowy top. The next night, she went to a Marie Claire-sponsored screening of the movie wearing black velveteen slacks and a matching tuxedo jacket by L’Agence, with a shiny black blouse to match.

Though Jolie wears a lot of black in her daily life — and on the red carpet — many of her recent outings have been punctuated by brighter colors, higher hemlines and a bit more skin. Perhaps the actress is trying to dress the part of director — or maybe she was just inspired by the gloomy New York City weather. Tell us: Do you like Jolie’s dark and sophisticated getups?

‘Dragon Tattoo’ Star Rooney Mara Co-designs Cow Bone Necklace

Rooney Mara Necklace

Her character Lisbeth Salander gets her own clothing line, but Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara has a product of her own. The actress joined forces with Amy Walker and Maxandra Short of jewelry line Kora to create the minimalist Uweza necklace ($95), consisting of a piece of recycled cow bone wrapped in aluminum or brass. One-hundred percent of proceeds from sales of the necklace benefit the Uweza organization, which stabilizes the lives of families living in the Kibera slums of Kenya. Mara has devoted a lot of time to the non-profit, and has even visited the region she works to help. “When we were introduced to Rooney and learned about her involvement with Uweza, partnering seemed like a great way for us all to give back,” Walker tells PEOPLE. “We loved the idea of creating an eye-catching and lovely necklace out of common materials found in the community from which it came.” Find the necklaces on koradesigns.com.

PHOTO: Shakira Chops Her Hair

Shakira Haircut
AFF-USA; Courtesy Shakira

Just in time for the holidays, Shakira debuted a new do on Twitter Tuesday. The Colombian singer, on holiday in Barcelona, popped into a salon and chopped several inches off of her hair.

According to photographers on the scene, the singer spent more than six hours inside the Jordi Ripoll salon, which opened just for her. After getting her cut — and posting a cute pic to Twitter (right) — Shakira reportedly went straight for boyfriend Gerard Pique‘s apartment.

Since Shakira has had pretty long locks for quite some time, the new style is definitely a change, but the sharp bob and fringe-y bangs — similar to Katy Perry’s new cut — are very flattering. Tell us: What do you think of Shakira’s new look?

Cleménce Poésy’s G-Star Ads are ‘Rock ‘n Roll’

Clemence Poesy G Star Ads
Michael Tran/FilmMagic

You may not know her name, but you’ve probably noticed Cleménce Poésy’s ice-blue eyes, high cheekbones and cupid-bow mouth (you Harry Potter fan, you). Well, it seems that denim purveyor G-Star noticed too, as the French-born actress/model has been named the new face of the brand’s spring campaign.

Joining the ranks of Elettra Wiedemann, Liv Tyler and Gemma Arterton, Poésy will appear alongside actor Vincent Gallo in the forthcoming ads, shot by photographer Anton Corbijn. The resulting photos are “faithful to what they’ve been like for the past few years,” Poésy tells PEOPLE, noting that the images are “very simple, black and white, but with something quite tough and honest.” And if you were expecting traditional editorial poses, the 29-year-old says, “I don’t think it’s fashion-y at all. It’s closer to rock ‘n roll.”
