Scarlett Johansson Doesn’t ‘Slop Around’ in Sweats

After refusing to wear makeup in We Bought a Zoo, Scarlett Johnasson reveals that when she’s not portraying a character, she’s actually quite fond of putting on a face.

“I always like to put a little bit of makeup on,” she tells Style.com. “I’m not the kind of person that just slops around in sweatpants. I like to feel a little more together — you never know who you’re going to see out there!”

“My absolute must-have is a really rich and vibrant red lipstick,” she reveals of the look that has become synonymous with her red-carpet bombshell motif. “I always keep red lipstick in my bag because I never know when I might show up to an event and be completely underdressed. I feel like red lipstick is the cure-all for everything.”

Other things that make her feel beautiful include reverting to her natural hair color (“I’m naturally blonde so I feel most like myself when I’m blonde”) and a good, old-fashioned honey facial. Yup, a honey facial. “I use Manuka honey,” she reveals. “You just warm your face so that your pores are open (you can steam your face right after getting out of the shower), and then you just take a spoon and apply the honey directly to your face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.”

The result? “It really adds an amazing glow and your skin is so soft afterwards. It pulls out the impurities.”

I dont usually go out in public in sweats either, but I dont bash the people that do. Sometimes comfort is much more important than style.

Sorry, Scarlett, I happen to be wearing sweatpants right now, so I guess I’m not suitable to associate with your ilk. Somebody told me years ago that, from a distance, “rich and vibrant red lipstick” makes you look like somebody slashed you across your face. I stick with the peaches and taupes these days.

Wow!! You’re not your best or yourself unless you slop on makeup and dress up in expensive clothes? How insecure are you if you feel like you can’t be yourself and have to cover YOU up?

What a snob. Wait til you have children…oh wait, someone else will raise them. I am “slopping around in sweat pants” a lot these past few weeks because my kids have been passing a flu bug back and forth and I’m functioning on about 3 hrs sleep a night. But guess I should be dressing up when I go out. Oh wait, I’m not a stuck up snob.

Oh please Kim, you mean to tell us that you make an effort to dress in anything but sloppy sweats when you are ill too? Please… You’re judging as well so give the hoier than thou a rest.

I’m so tired of these self-righteous celebrities, flaunting their wealth at every single opportunity (until it’s time to do something charitable, of course!).

What’s her face saying “NO CROCS” earlier this week.

Turbo b*tch Kris Jenner wanting throw her 16-year-old a birthday party IN THE BAHAMAS.

And now Scarlett saying I’m SLOPPY because I wear sweat pants once in a while.

Makes me wonder why I even read stories about celebrities anymore.

I’ve seen several pictures of her dressing sloppy. She is acting like she is so put together and high maintenance. I for one never find her pretty – she’s so average looking.

I completely agree with her. I’m a 35 year old mother, married for 12 years and I work full time (sometimes up to 55 hours per week) I don’t leave my house without being dressed in at least jeansand a tee (and not an oversized tee either), I’m not always in heels unless it’s for work. I wear flats, sometimes tennis shoes BUT i won’t go out in sweats. To me that screams you’ve let yourself go. It’ll take you 10 minutes for some lip gloss, jeans and a ponytail. You don’t need to be glammed up to look decent. But please don’t go out like you just rolled out of bed, it’s as bad as wearing pajamas in public. And you can hate on me all you want, It won’t change my mind….EVER :)

Oh and my children come first. I always get them ready before me. If that means i only get 5-10 minutes to get ready, I make it work.
