Why Anna Kournikova Doesn’t Like to Go Shopping

She’s got a fabulous figure — not to mention a pretty hefty budget — but Anna Kournikova tells elle.com that she doesn’t really like to go shopping. “After an hour I get a little antsy,” she explains. “So I definitely shop online.”

Listing Singer22, Shopbop and RevolveClothing as some of her favorite sites, the Biggest Loser trainer says she’s currently on the hunt for a great pair of boots. “Really high, but really comfy,” she shares. “I’m the kind of girl who goes with really high shoes or flip flops. I don’t do in between.”

A fan of basics like leather jackets and tailored blazers, Kournikova is also very basic when it comes to her beauty routine. “I went through a phase in my 20s where I tried everything,” she says. “I was breaking out like crazy. Then I got educated.” Learning she had oily skin, she soon changed to “oil-free everything,” she shares. “The key for me has always been protecting myself from the sun because I’ve been in the sun playing tennis,” she continues. “It’s about getting rid of the dark spots and exfoliation!”

Stars Support Gay Marriage with Lyon’s Equality Bracelets

Lyon Equality Bracelet

The offerings from Lyon Fine Jewelry include custom engagement rings and black-diamond necklaces, but perhaps the most meaningful item on the site is a $95 sterling silver and leather Equality Bracelet, a piece of jewelry that represents the fight for gay marriage rights. Stars are already snapping up the bands, and 20 percent of proceeds from the sale of each bracelet benefit Friendfactor, a gay rights organization tailored for straight supporters.

“When I see people wearing the Equality Bracelet, it makes me realize that we are united in fighting the civil rights issue of marriage equality,” Lance Bass tells PEOPLE. “No one is alone.”

Three additional Equality Bracelets — the Castro ($775), Weho ($1,350) and Vere ($1,950) — are also available, and made from silver, 14- and 18-karat gold and conflict-free black diamonds. Learn more at lyonfinejewelry.com/equality.

‘New Girl,’ New Style — Why Zooey Deschanel’s Work Wardrobe Is Quirky

Zooey Deschanel New Girl Style
Greg Gayne/FOX

How do you dress a female teacher who’s recently been dumped and is just getting back into the dating game? If you’re New Girl costume designer Debra McGuire, you put her in outfits that are “interesting, fresh and modern, never dorky or unfashionable,” according to WWD.

McGuire, who dresses Zooey Deschanel for the new FOX hit, tells WWD that she uses “a lot of bright colors and [bold] fashion alternatives” for the actress’s character, Jess Day, to “reflect how fun she is. Jess is more eccentric than the average girl.”

Indeed: in the pilot, the lovelorn 20-something pairs borrowed Louboutins with denim overalls. “Her best friend Cece is a glamorous fashion model with killer style,” McGuire explains. “The idea was that she borrowed the heels from Cece.” Since Jess had recently broken up with her boyfriend, and was just reentering the dating scene, she had no idea what to wear on a first date. “It reflected the innocence and likability of the character in that scene,” McGuire explains. “The shoes and clothes are used to add laughter to the show each week.”

Fergie’s Supreme Halloween Costume: All the Details!

Fergie Halloween
Justin Campbell/Startraks

She didn’t win a wad of cash, but Fergie probably won some costume contests Monday night in her Toddlers & Tiaras getup, a bejeweled purple-and-pink dress — complete with matching tiara — that she wore to Heidi Klum‘s Halloween party in New York.

The costume, designed by Marco Marco, was inspired by the hit TV show, and came with a tiara, sash, glittering shoes and oversized plush pal. “It’s completely encrusted in Swarovski crystal, as are the shoes,” Marco tells PEOPLE. “The pink Teddy bear doubles as her purse. And the crown was customized to match the dress.”

Stylist Bea Ackerland conceived the idea with Fergie; the two then approached Marco to make the costume come to life. Luckily, he was happy to oblige. “Fergie is one of my favorite people to work with,” he shares.

She’s done it again! The Duchess of Cambridge landed atop the U.K. Harper’s Bazaar best-dressed list today, just three months after earning a spot on Vanity Fair‘s list of style stars. The latest honor was bestowed by a panel that included designers Antonio Berardi and Roksanda Ilincic (a Kate favorite), milliner Philip Treacy and Bazaar editors Kim Hersov and Lucy Yeomans.

“Catherine’s incredible style evolution has gripped us all,” Yeomans explains on harpersbazaar.com.uk. “She gave us the year’s — if not the century’s — most thrilling fashion moment at the royal wedding, and is shaping up as an amazing ambassador for British designers and the high street.”

Singer Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine landed in second place — “She’s fairytale,” writes Ilincic — followed by British stars including Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, Emma Watson, Alexa Chung and Stella McCartney. All in all, 20 women were included on the list.
