Ashley Greene Is the New Face of DKNY

She’s conquered the beauty world as the face of Mark, and now, Ashley Greene is taking the fashion world by storm. The Twilight star was just tapped as the new face of DKNY and DKNY Jeans, and will appear in the brands’ spring 2012 ad campaigns.

“I’ve always loved Donna Karan’s creations,” Greene said in a release. “To be a part of the brands’ message is incredibly exciting because it feels like such an organic fit. It’s easy to talk about how these clothes work for my lifestyle, whether I’m in New York, L.A. or traveling for work.”

Greene’s been spotted in Karan’s clothes several times recently at Twilight premieres, charitable events and in a custom creation at the May Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala (left).

“Ashley embodies everything DKNY — her energy, her spirit, her eclectic personal style,” Donna Karan vice president Patti Cohen shared. “She is on the forefront of what it means to connect with a global fan base through social media, a focus that is aligned with our digital and new media initiatives.” (The actress has nearly 1.3 million Twitter followers.)

New season, new look! Nicole Richie took a few inches off her hair this week, debuting the new style at a party in Los Angeles.

“I felt like I wanted to take a little length off,” she told InStyle.com Tuesday. So how does she style the new do? “When I get out of the shower, I twist my hair and put it up,” she explained. “I let the roots air dry, then I take it down after a few hours. It creates a nice wave.”

The California blonde went brunette in 2009, changing back to golden locks in 2010 and chopping her hair later that year. Tell us: What do you think of Richie’s cut?

Get the Look: Brooke Charvet’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Pompadour

Brooke Burke Dancing with the Stars HairAdam Taylor/ABC

No one earned a perfect score on Dancing with the Stars this week (though J.R. Martinez came close), but Brooke Charvet managed another perfect hairdo on Monday night’s episode, pairing her sparkly blue Mandalay mini dress with a puffed pompadour.

Just like last week, we asked the stylists at Hotheads how to achieve her look at home. There are several ways to create a pompadour, but the easiest is to follow these steps from stylist Sheenon Olson:

1. Section the hair on top of the head in the shape of a horseshoe. Be sure to make the horseshoe large enough so that it includes the hair at parietal ridge (where the bones of the head begin to curve toward the top).

2. Using hairspray and a Mason Pearson brush, start to spray and brush the sections on the side of the head to the back. You will want to smooth down the hair as you go, using the hairspray and brush. Once you have achieved the degree of smoothness, take both sides of the hair and connect with a small rubber band.

Zoe Saldana Daydreams About Fashion … and Her Wedding Day

Zoe Saldana FashionJamie McCarthy/Getty

Though Zoe Saldana is engaged to her dream guy, longtime beau Keith Britton, she has another love, too: fashion. The Colombiana star — who hit the red carpet in Barbara Bui at the Motorola Mobility bash in New York on Tuesday — is a fan “of so many designers,” she told PEOPLE at the event.

“From the older iconic ones like Lanvin, Givenchy … I’ve got Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Diane von Furstenberg and Calvin Klein,” she said of her favorites, adding, “I wore an amazing Louis Vuitton dress to the Golden Globes.” Prabal Gurung, Derek Lam and Jason Wu make her list, too.

Though she has her favorites, Saldana — who’s hosting Gen Art’s “Fresh Faces in Fashion” runway show in Los Angeles on Oct. 22 — doesn’t focus too much on labels when choosing gowns. “I look to find myself in them and not to get lost in them,” she said. “So if I see an outfit from a designer that I really feel will complement my personality and I know that I would wear it well, I will definitely fight for it.”

Julianne Hough: Battling Acne Was ‘Horrible’

Julianne HoughSlaven Vlasic/Getty

She’s the fresh-faced beauty of Footloose and Dancing with the Stars, but Julianne Hough wasn’t always so comfortable in her own skin. The Proactiv spokeswoman tells the Beauty Bean that dealing with acne while rising to fame was “horrible.”

“You try to tell yourself that you’re fine and it’s all good — and you really should be fine — but it definitely affects you,” she shares. “You want to do what you can to make you feel good.”

Now pimple-free, the dancer-singer-actress says she feels most beautiful when she’s around her family and friends. “There’s just a certain glow you have when you’re with your loved ones,” she explains. Though getting prettified can be fun, too. “I love to get glammed up and feel that my hair looks great, and my skin looks good and when my legs are shaved and I’m wearing high heels,” she admits.
