Essie’s Fall Nail Polish Inspired by Kate?

We knew the Duchess of Cambridge was a fan of Essie, but we didn’t realize founder Essie Weingarten loved Kate, too! But it’s true: the nail polish pro tells InStyle that her fall collection was influenced, in part, by the newlywed.

“The type of woman whose handbag speaks volumes about her, that’s who inspired me with this collection,” Weingarten says. “Like Kate Middleton when she met President Obama wearing a classic beige dress, black heels and matching black clutch. It was just so ladylike. I love the look of classic, fashionable and timeless.”

The handbag-themed fall collection, which includes neutrals such as “Lady Like” and “Glamour Purse” (above) and bolder hues like “Carry On” and “Very Structured,” retails for $8 per bottle and arrives on shelves and in salons soon.

Gisele Bündchen and Erin Wasson: The New Faces of ESPRIT

In honor of its overhaul, Esprit is enlisting the help of two gorgeous women to celebrate its new look and identity. The brand recently announced that models Gisele Bündchen and Erin Wasson are the new faces of the line’s fall campaign, which launches next month.

“Using Erin and Gisele has really elevated the brand,” John Gunn, continental president of Esprit North America, tells WWD. “We were a little disjointed between how our stores looked and how the product and marketing looked. We were trying to go after the 28- to 34-year-old woman and showing 18-year-olds in ads.” He says the new target consumer is a woman who’s “forever 30.”

The new models bring years of stylish experience to the table: supermodel Bündchen worked the camera for H&M and took a boyish turn with Balenciaga, among other projects, while Wasson designs her own line, Erin Wasson x RVCA, and served as Justin Timberlake’s sidekick at William Rast. Tell us: What do you think of Bündchen and Wasson as the new faces of Esprit?

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Pretty Premiere Looks

Sarah Jessica Parker Premiere StyleSplash News Online; Flynet; Fame; Startraks; Abaca

We do know how she does it: with killer fashion instincts, a delicate frame and a very bright smile. Sarah Jessica Parker has spent the week promoting her new film, I Don’t Know How She Does It, in Moscow and London, looking super stylish along the way.

On Sunday, Parker visited Moscow’s Manolo Blahnik store (so Carrie Bradshaw of her!) in a charming, strapless white Chanel dress trimmed with red-and-pink accents. Wednesday, she surfaced in London in a pink Chanel Haute Couture jacket with embroidered sleeves (topped off with major bun); that same day, she sported a flowing taupe frock covered up with a cropped yellow blazer, also by Chanel.

Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck Ad Revealed

It’s “the beginning of something magical,” Taylor Swift teases in the debut ad for her first-ever fragrance, Wonderstruck. It certainly appears that way — the whimsical photo features the singer in a gorgeous gown, surrounded by trees and chandeliers.

Due out in October, Swift’s scent was naturally a personal venture, inspired by her song “Enchanted.” “I wrote the lyric, ‘I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home’ … about the first time you meet someone,” she explained in a release. “A fragrance can help shape someone’s first impression and memory of you. It’s exciting to think that Wonderstruck will play a role in creating some of those memories.”

The fruity, floral fragrance boasts notes of raspberry, apple blossom, golden amber and sandalwood. “It was fascinating to learn that you can layer so many different scents to create a beautiful end result,” Swift told WWD of the creation process. “Coming up with ideas for this fragrance and the packaging and message of it reminded me of what it’s like to plan an album launch. It goes out into the world and becomes a part of people’s daily lives.” Tell us: Will you buy a bottle of Wonderstruck?

Rachel Zoe oozes confidence when styling Hollywood’s top stars, but when it comes to staging her first-ever show at New York Fashion Week, she’s more than a little anxious.

“Nervous, excited, petrified, anxious, terrified … did I mention terrified? I’m terrified,” she tells fabSugar when discussing her upcoming spring 2012 runway show.

But don’t let the nerves fool you: she’s excited about her buzz-worthy collection. “I think becoming a designer was that sort of thing that was inevitable on some level, and then also something that I really waited a long time to do because the timing had to be right,” she explains. “I just felt this was the time I was ready to do it.”
