Céline Dion’s Signature Is a Tribute to Her Fans

Growing up, Céline Dion‘s family didn’t have enough money to buy perfumes.

“My mom might use rosewater here and there, and she would cook a lot, so I remember the smell of bread,” the singer recalls to PEOPLE. “I used to carry her nightgown with me everywhere, because it had her scent … I didn’t want to wash it. It was loving, comforting … I guess you call it home. And you can’t buy that.”

So while she didn’t play with perfume bottles as a child, having such a strong connection to scents played a major role in the creation of her 15 fragrances, the newest of which, Céline Dion Signature, is on shelves now. “I can’t believe that I have 15 perfumes,” she says. “I feel like I’m 15 years old.”

Dion says she tries to show a different part of her personality each time she launches a scent; and this one in particular is dedicated to the fans. “They’ve been such amazing supporters through the years,” she says. “I’ve been sharing so much with them … they know so much about me. The fans are making it work for me, so I hope they enjoy this one.”

A Broken Toe Doesn’t Keep Rose McGowan From the Fashion Week Front Row

Rose McGowan has been forced to put her best foot forward at Fashion Week — literally. Thanks to what she thinks is a broken toe, the Conan the Barbarian star is moving a little slowly this week.

What’s to blame for her untimely injury? “Heels,” she told PEOPLE Monday before Chris Benz’s runway show. “I collapsed … three days, about 14 to 15 hours of heels per day. I believe I now have a hairline fracture in my baby toe.”

McGowan wasn’t going to let the inconvenience stop her Fashion Week fun, though. “All I did was bind my toes together with extra Band-Aids and a quarter of a popsicle stick,” she shared.

So had she considered swapping her stilettos for flats, or — gasp — even running shoes?

“Yeah … that’s not going to happen,” she replied.

Sure, the Toronto Film Festival is all about promoting new movies, but we spotted a style trend during this year’s festivities, too: newly dyed dos!

Actresses Michelle Monaghan and Elizabeth Olsen both traded in their previous hair hues for new colors this week, with Machine Gun Preacher star Monaghan picking a deep auburn hue to replace her brunette tresses, and Martha Marcy May Marlene‘s Elizabeth Olsen trying out a new shade of blonde. “I’m not working on a movie right now because I’m back in school and I’ve never been blonde, so I just went for it,” Olsen told InStyle.com about her lightened locks.

Move over, Eloise. A new fable unfolded at the Plaza Hotel on Tuesday afternoon when celeb-loved fashion house Marchesa took over the storied spot, creating a fashionista’s fairytale in the elegant Palm Court.

Supermodels such as Karen Elson wore tulle and chiffon confections, gliding and weaving slowly between paths of ballroom chairs filled with the likes of Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman, Naomi Campbell, Emma Roberts, Mandy Moore, Michelle Trachtenberg and Kelly Osbourne.

“I loved how elegant every detail was … every aspect, every detail in those dresses is just insanely beautiful,” Osbourne told PEOPLE after the show. “Ah-maz-ing … that’s three words,” stylist Brad Goreski added. “Gorgeous setting, great music. Every single details was perfect.”

Evan Rachel Wood is stunning on the red carpet these days, whether overseas at the Venice Film Festival or in Hollywood for an awards show. And the star, nominated for an outstanding supporting actress in a miniseries or movie Emmy for her role as Veda Pierce in Mildred Pierce, says she’s felt more comfortable at such events lately thanks to age and experience.

“I think when I started getting older and started feeling like I wanted to express myself as a woman and to do what made me feel beautiful” is when she finally fell in love with fashion, Wood recently told PEOPLE. “I was just having fun really. I wasn’t feeling pressured to do certain things. I just felt like I was expressing myself.” Doing so with a recent, dramatic haircut — and a slew of stylish looks — she’s been able to evolve her style. Of finding her fashion sense, she shared, “I think it just happens naturally.”

Kirstie Alley Hits the Catwalk for Malaysian Designer Zang Toi

Kirstie Alley Fashion WeekFame

Attendees at Zang Toi’s runway show at New York Fashion Week Tuesday were treated to a special treat: an appearance by Kirstie Alley. The actress took a turn on the catwalk at Lincoln Center, sporting an embellished blue coat dress and an exaggerated beehive hairdo.

Tweeting Monday that she was “scared,” Alley jokingly asked fans and fashionistas to avoid eye contact during the show. “DONT make me laugh,” she wrote. “Gotta keep ‘model face’ … oh, who I am kidding??”

And though she was worried about falling on her “well dressed ass,” Alley took to the runway effortlessly, and at the end of the day, was grateful for the experience.

“Thank you all the REAL models for letting me share @ZANGTOI runway with you,” she Tweeted. “You all were sooo sweet and looked soooo gorgeous!!! I had the time of my life!!!!”
