POLL: How Long Is Your Morning Routine?

As night owls, we can easily say we envy women who are able to pop out of bed and get going every morning. Gym? If we’re lucky. Snooze button? We hit it at least twice. Coffee needed? Definitely. But regardless, we still like to spend some time primping in the morning, whether it’s with a quick shower and minimal makeup or a full-on face and blown-out hair. But how about you? How much time do you spend getting ready in the morning?

What Will Sofia Vergara’s Emmy Makeup Look Like on Sunday?

In just about 48 hours, Modern Family bombshell Sofia Vergara will be hitting the Emmy red carpet in a to-die-for dress. But before she greets fans and photographers at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre, she’ll be putting in lots of prep time with her hair and makeup team.

Vergara’s makeup artist Kayleen McAdams hasn’t seen the nominee’s dress yet, but plans to play up the actress’s gorgeous assets — namely her eyes. “Sofia has these big, beautiful brows — she doesn’t do anything to them, they’re completely natural — so that’s always part of the look, to really frame the eye,” she tells PEOPLE. “We always end up doing a really thick mascara for her, too, on top and bottom, and add a few falsies in. She has a beautiful, natural cat-eye shape.”

McAdams, who’s been working with Vergara for two years (and does sister Rachel’s makeup, too), says awards-show makeup often takes a few hours. “We want to think about the look, and take our time to get everything exactly right,” she says. The CoverGirl spokesmodel will have a fresh face full of CoverGirl products, including Liquiline Blast Eyeliner, LipPerfection Lipcolor and LashBlast Volume mascara.

Amy Winehouse’s Style Surfaces at Marc Jacobs’s Spring Runway Show

Marc Jacobs Fashion WeekPeter Michael Dills/Getty (3)

At 8:30 p.m. Thursday, when the final show of New York Fashion Week was set to begin, hundreds of top fashionistas filed into their seats as Sofia Coppola and Dakota Fanning slipped into their spots in the front row. A glimmering gold curtain covered the stage at the 69th Regiment Armory, while a wall of thick wooden beams sprinkled with light bulbs cut down the center of the runway. It was Marc Jacobs time.

“I’ve been to every show [of his] for the last three years,” stylist Brad Goreski told PEOPLE before the lights dimmed. “The choreography is always so amazing, aside from the clothes. It’s a fully realized vision — the hair, the makeup. It sets the direction for everyone else. I’m always happy to have Marc Jacobs on my [clothing] rack.”

Fanning, the face of Jacobs’s latest fragrance, Oh, Lola!, echoed Goreski’s sentiments. “I love that his work is so diverse,” she explained. “He creates everything you see — a piece of clothing or a bag — you automatically know Marc made it. He has such a specific style, but he recreates it in so many different ways.”

Why Uma Thurman Loves Calvin Klein’s ‘Effortless’ Clothes

Uma Thurman may stand above the rest thanks to her stunning, minimalist red-carpet looks, but don’t expect her to give advice on how to walk the carpet gracefully in stilettos.

“I was very eager to wear high heels until I got over 5-ft., 6-in. and then it ended for me,” Thurman told PEOPLE backstage at Thursday’s Calvin Klein spring 2012 show during New York Fashion Week. “Because I’m a tall girl, I never got particularly skilled at wearing them. I still tend to weave a little on heels. I need the solid ones.”

Though she dislikes the amplified height, the 6-ft.-tall Oscar-nominated actress said she has early memories of the stylish shoes. “I remember trying high heels on for the first time when I was like 3 years old. I would try to walk in my mother’s heels and loved it.”

Known for her chic and elegant style, Thurman said one of her favorite go-to designers is Calvin Klein for his simple yet striking looks.

Kate Moss, Solange Knowles Celebrate Rimmel’s 10th Anniversary in London

Kate Moss is a pro at making an entrance, but her arrival at Rimmel London’s 10th anniversary party Thursday night may have been her grandest yet. The supermodel — a longtime face of the brand — descended on southwest London’s Battersea Power Station by helicopter, hopping out to greet guests and dance the night away.

Though sans new husband Jamie Hince, Moss looked happy, radiant and glamorous. Dressed in a black velvet vintage strapless dress, Christian Louboutin shoes and a dash of red lipstick 001 from the new Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick collection, she quickly made her way into the venue as ecstatic fans snapped photos along the way.

Moss was joined at the bash by Solange Knowles, Rimmel’s newest face. The starlet, fresh off of New York Fashion Week, was dressed in a yellow asymmetrical Acne dress and Casadei stilettos, and spent her night entertaining guests from the deejay booth with hits by Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. “I am a bit overwhelmed,” she admitted to PEOPLE, “and spaced out at the same time!”

Julie Bowen: ‘I Don’t Fit Into Girl Dresses’

Julie Bowen Emmys Dress

Given her fit frame, it’s hard to believe Julie Bowen would ever have trouble finding a dress that fits. But according to the Modern Family actress, staying slim can make staying stylish a challenge.

“I’m built like a 14-year-old boy. I have no waist so anything I wear has to have a lot of trickeration going on,” Bowen told PEOPLE at Audi’s Kick Off to Emmy Week party in L.A. “I don’t fit into girl dresses. I can’t just slip it on.”

Thankfully, for Sunday’s Emmy Awards, best supporting actress nominee Bowen has already picked a winning look: a black, v-neck Oscar de la Renta gown, which she’ll let speak for itself.

“For the red carpet I feel like the dress is the star and I should keep the jewelry really classic and attractive but not too mom-ular,” she said. “I don’t want to look like I’m constantly just driving back and forth to soccer practice.”
