Michael Kors must have had vacation on the brain when he created his men’s and women’s spring 2012 collections, filled with safari-inspired looks in both bold and neutral hues.
“It was fun,” Michael Douglas told PEOPLE after the show. “I liked the crocheted [garments] a lot. The gowns, and the colors … he just makes it look like fun. It doesn’t look pressed or pushed too far.”
The actor, who said he’s “spent a lot of time in Africa,” connected with the clothes, too. “I got a kick out of it,” he shared. “And the zebra patterns are always fun. I really liked the materials that he was using. It looked like he had actually worked it.”
“He’s an American classic,” Saldana added. “He really designs good clothes for women, all kinds of women.” And her love for the Project Runway judge extends beyond his style. “He’s a very good human being and he works really, really hard. But he’s really humble still, and I think his work reflects that.”
