Buy a Copy of Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Dress — for $1,600

David’s Bridal is inviting you to wear Kim Kardashian‘s wedding dress — a replica, that is. E! confirms that two of the newlywed’s three Vera Wang gowns are being recreated for the David’s Bridal White by Vera Wang line — and they could be yours next year.
The designer is reimagining Kardashian’s main dress (pictured) — the one she wore to walk down the aisle — and the mermaid gown she wore for her first dance with now-husband Kris Humphries.
“There is a certain classicism to the first, and that wasn’t about a huge fashion statement,” Wang tells E! “It was about that kind of … Elizabeth Taylor beauty, and that voluptuousness.” Ten women spent three months creating that look, hand-piecing lace onto the bodice, train and veil, but Wang says the David’s Bridal gown won’t be quite as involved. “I think it’s very romantic, and that was what we were really after,” she says. “It will certainly capture that sense of old-fashioned romance.”
The mermaid dress, which Wang calls “a big sexier,” will be perfect for an evening wedding, she says. “It’s … a bit more tango or cha-cha or dance-oriented.”
E! reports that both dresses will be available at select David’s Bridal stores in February, with an estimated price tag of less than $1,600 each. That’s a bit pricier than replicas of the Duchess of Cambridge‘s Alexander McQueen wedding gown, which were set to sell for $800. Tell us: Would you buy a copy of Kardashian’s wedding gown?
