When country singer Randy Houser proposed to fellow singer-songwriter Jessa Lee Yantz, he did it with a stunning diamond ring.

But that was just the beginning of the jewelry’s journey.

After Yantz said yes, Houser took the bauble back to Nashville-based King Jeweler, where he bought it. Then, together with jeweler David King, Houser and Yantz customized the ring with additional diamonds to reflect the bride-to-be’s style. The completed piece is composed of almost 5.5 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds (totaling more than 300 stones!) set in 18-karat gold with a double diamond halo.

“The complexity of a handmade ring of this degree was a great challenge, but the creative input and passion from both Randy and Jessa helped us create something not only gorgeous and brilliant, but tasteful and timeless,” King tells PEOPLE.

Courteney Cox’s Latest Beauty Essential: A Good Nose-Hair Trimmer

She’s been sharing her budget beauty secrets as a style blogger for Jane Pratt’s site xojane.com, but in her most recent post, Courteney Cox dives into some, well, hairier issues.

“Jane asked me about the best nose hair trimmer,” Cox says in her latest column. “Embarrassing, but the Panasonic Swing Head is great for that and for eyebrow trimming.”

When she’s not keeping up on her trimming, Cox is using some other unusual products that she doesn’t leave home without, including moldable earplugs. “I have a really hard time sleeping but one thing that helps, besides my night guard, are these earplugs,” she writes. “You don’t have to stick them in your ear, just mold them around it. I don’t go anywhere without these.”

Her third pick of the week? Oddly enough, a hand grip — because her father used to use one of his own. “I use one … mostly because it reminds me of my dad, but also because it’s a good stress reliever,” she explains. “It tones the muscles in your forearm that are seldom worked out.”

Kim Kardashian’s Three Wedding Gowns: All the Details!

When Kim Kardashian chose family friend Vera Wang to create her custom couture wedding gowns, she knew things would be picture perfect. What she didn’t know, however, was which of the three intricate gowns she would choose to wear for her walk down the aisle.

“I truly, up until two days before [the wedding] could not decide which to wear,” the bride admits to PEOPLE. After seeking advice from friends, family — and of course Wang herself — the choice was clear: Kardashian made her grand entrance in what she calls the “princess look” gown, a ball gown with full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on bodice and train. Along with her Lorraine Schwartz headpiece, she wore a cathedral-length veil with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué at the hem and a lightly shirred blusher layer.

“It was Cinderella,” Wang tells PEOPLE of the overall look. “But Cinderella with a very sexy body. She has a very Liz Taylor or Sophia Loren kind of body and we didn’t want to lose that.”

Beverly Hills ‘Housewife’ Adrienne Maloof Creates Fancy Footwear

We admired her shoes all throughout season one of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and now Adrienne Maloof is turning her eye for fine fashion into a career. The reality star is creating shoes with Charles Jourdan, launching the high-end line on Isaay.com this fall.

“I have loved shoes ever since I was a young girl,” Maloof tells PEOPLE. “My brothers would always make fun of me about my shoe obsession. But it’s been a dream to create a shoe collection.”

The businesswoman, who says fashion is “in her DNA,” thought about creating a line long before Housewives hit. So when representatives from Charles Jourdan approached her about working together, she was “honored.” Calling herself a fan of the brand’s work, she loves the limited-edition platform shoes, but “as a mom, you’re always running around,” she adds. So “I also have a deep appreciation for a beautiful and functional flat.” As a result, she created about 10 pairs of shoes, ranging from sparkly heels to a sleek flat boot.
