Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn Coming to New York Fashion Week

Avril Lavigne Shows Her Line at New York Fashion WeekEthan Miller/WireImage

It’s been three years since Avril Lavigne introduced her Abbey Dawn clothing line, but lately, the singer is breathing new life into the rock ‘n’ roll-themed collection — and plans to show off her latest creations next month at New York Fashion Week.

“I’ve done a fashion show there before and it’s, like, kind of a really big deal,” she told PEOPLE at the MAGIC Abbey Dawn after-party at PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace on Tuesday. “I’m on tour in Europe but I made sure I can do it. I have two hours to do it, then I leave. I fly for like 24 hours but its really important and I’m super honored.”

Though Lavigne will be in a serious time crunch, she said she’s particularly pumped about showing off her newest pieces. “Heels, footwear. And now I have men’s stuff so it feels complete,” she shared. “It’s my brand, it’s my baby. It’s the first time its a full collection of everything, outside of clothing. There are so many different categories.”

Famous Friends Inspire Charlotte Ronson’s Sephora Beauty Collection

Charlotte Ronson didn’t have to look far to find inspiration for her new beauty line. To introduce Charlotte Ronson Beauty — coming exclusively to Sephora this fall — the designer hosted an intimate dinner at Il Sole in Los Angeles Tuesday night with friends and family, some of whom are muses for the line.

“I’m always inspired by friends and family, that’s how you learn and these are the women in my day to day so it just made sense to name products after them,” Ronson told PEOPLE of friends including Nicole Richie, Rashida Jones and sister Samantha Ronson, all of whom inspired products.

The line, which features cosmetics, accessories and haircare, was a natural fit for the accomplished designer. “[Sephora] did beauty for my runway shows for the past couple of seasons and we connected and had the same vision,” Ronson said. “It has the feel of being based on a fashion brand.”

Hey, Doll: Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Get Their Own Barbies

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Get Their Own BarbieCourtesy Mattel

Forget wax! When Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were recently immortalized as figurines, they went the plastic route, lending their likenesses to a new set of Barbie dolls.

The set features a demure-looking Hill wearing an elegant beige-and-black gown with a glittering lace overlay and shoulder-skimming earrings, while McGraw sports a tailored black suit, striped tie and his signature black cowboy hat.

According to EW.com, the country singers were quite involved with the design process. “Tim and Faith sent us photos of every detail,” says designer Linda Kyaw. That included Tim’s suit, Faith’s dress and makeup and shots of her desired hairstyle. “The couple knew exactly what they wanted to see in doll form, and they helped us achieve the best possible results,” Kyaw adds.

Hill and McGraw join Farrah Fawcett, Rachel Zoe and the cast of Twilight on a growing list of stars who’ve received the doll treatment in recent months. The duo’s dolls will be available in September — shortly before their 15th wedding anniversary — for $69.95 at barbiecollector.com. Tell us: What do you think of Hill and McGraw’s Barbie set?

Her clothing line debuts this Saturday on HSN, but Queen Latifah isn’t taking all the credit for her fashion sense; she says some super-chic women have helped her along the way.

“Number one my mom — she’s super stylish, always has been,” Latifah tells PEOPLE of her top style icon. “And then I would say Iman … I just think she’s beautiful, she’s poised, she’s gorgeous. She’s also a great entrepreneur and she has a great sense of style, and she has longevity, and you know that’s what I would like to have for sure.”

And just like Iman, whose HSN collection has been a hit, Latifah says she’s designing for real women who want affordable, wearable fashion. “It’s really something you can incorporate into your existing wardrobe,” she says of the tops, jackets, jeans and handbags in the Queen Collection. “I mean these are things that are really beautiful, but they’re very wearable. We’re really trying to make sure that they have the best fabrics possible, that it feels good on the body. I’m a Pisces, I’m sensitive; I like things to feel good on my skin.”
