Rachel Bilson Is a Self-Confessed Outfit Planner

She’s an avid eBay shopper and enjoys the occasional ice cream bar, but there’s one more crucial piece of info you may not know about actress Rachel Bilson: she’s a self-confessed outfit planner.

“I know this sounds terribly shallow, but I’ve been mapping out my outfits every day since I was little, even before high school,” she tells InStyle Makeover. “I have a very busy mind — there’s a constant chitter-chatter up there — but what I’m wearing the next day? That’s definitely something that’s always been in my head before I go to sleep at night.”

And it’s no surprise she started her fashion obsession at an early age, given her stylish influences. “My aunt Julie introduced me to Barneys and designers at a very young age,” she says. “And my mom was a huge vintage freak. Even when I was 2 years old, I insisted on dressing myself. I still have this tattered blue and purple carnival dress that my aunt brought back from Spain for me that I wore every day when I was a kid!”

Katy Perry Hair ColorBruja, Sharma/Pacific Coast News

Maybe she decided blondes don’t have more fun?

After mere days with a new blonde hair hue, Katy Perry stepped out in Los Angeles Monday sporting light pink locks. Originally raven-haired, then red in June, then blonde — is she finally settling into a permanent hair color? It’s hard to tell.

“I have been dying my hair since 10pm! Good GOD let me get to my destination tonight! #beenblack #beenblue #beenhotginge #beenblonde #now…” she Tweeted on July 25, later adding, “Still transitioning…………… practicing patience!”

The road to the perfect hair color has been a long one for Perry; after a dye job gone awry in June, the singer had to stick with her transitional red shade before she could go blonde, at the risk of damaging her hair.

It’s almost that time of year again, when New York’s most stylish set hits the streets for New York Fashion Week. And while there will be surely be plenty of celebrities and couture around town, there will also be some serious fundraising happening in the name of fashion.

Nigel Barker recently shot a campaign with Nine West and a mob of famous models to help raise awareness for a Fashion Week initiative called Nine West Runway Relief, benefiting the CFDA’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. In the video above, filmed the day of the shoot, models including Chrissy Teigen and Carolyn Murphy show off a limited-edition Nine West boot equipped with a pedometer, which they’ll each wear while hoofing it around Manhattan during Fashion Week, running to and from dress fittings and post-event parties. Kim Kardashian Reveals Her Wedding Dress Designer: Vera Wang

Kim Kardashian Wedding Dress DesignerJason LaVeris/FilmMagic

She’s tried to keep the details of her Aug. 20 wedding as private as possible, but Kim Kardashian is letting one big fact slip: Vera Wang is indeed designing her wedding dress.

“Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years,” Kardashian wrote on her blog Monday. “When it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!”

The reality starlet visited the designer’s New York City boutique in early June, but kept mum on the terms of her visit. Plenty of friends were happy to give their thoughts on her wedding look, though; Project Runway judge Michael Kors suggested keeping it “sleek, sexy and simple,” while publicist friend Jonathan Cheban told PEOPLE she should go for “over the top.”

Sneak a Peek at Rachel Zoe’s Clothing Collection!

She’s dressed everyone from Cameron Diaz to Anne Hathaway, but Rachel Zoe says designing her own collection was unlike anything she’s ever experienced in her entire career.

“It was almost like giving birth,” she tells ShopBop.com. “When it was over, I was like, ‘This is the most exciting, most challenging adventure. This is new, and this is fun.’” Zoe, who drew inspiration from old-school stars like Diane Keaton and Ali McGraw, wanted her pieces to be classic, timeless and on trend — but not trendy. Calling her line “affordable luxury,” she says pieces from her collection will be functional and comfortable.

For Eva Amurri, finding the perfect wedding dress was a lot like finding the perfect mate.

“I tried on a ton of dresses and it was a weird, long process,” the actress, who is engaged to Fox Soccer Channel commentator Kyle Martino, told PEOPLE at the Ella Moss 10th Anniversary Party in Los Angeles last week. “I thought that I might like a certain one but I wasn’t really sold. Then I tried on my dress and I just fell in love with it. It’s almost like dating: ‘I think this is the guy,’ and then you actually meet the guy and you’re like, ‘I don’t know what I thinking about that [other] guy.’”

Luckily, other wedding details have come easier to Amurri, like selecting a color scheme. “One of my favorite colors is gray so that’s in there. We have a few colors going on.” And the actress — Susan Sarandon’s daughter — also has the help of her fiancé when planning for the big day.
