Jennifer Lopez Styles Everyday Women for September’s ‘O’

When eight “real” models showed up at a New York City studio for an O, The Oprah Magazine photo shoot, they had no idea what was in store. But as it turned out, creative director Adam Glassman had arranged a styling session and photo shoot with none other than Jennifer Lopez, featuring clothes from her upcoming collection for Kohl’s.

O is often the go-to magazine for lines that want to do an exclusive first look,” Glassman tells PEOPLE. “It’s so great to have her teach women how to get a kind of everyday glamour like hers.” Lopez served as a guest fashion editor on the shoot, which appears in the magazine’s September issue, choosing outfits and accessories for all eight women.

“Jennifer is very approachable right from the start, so they got comfortable with her right away,” Glassman says. And for Lopez, newly single, that’s important. “I’m a mom,” she tells O. “I work. I want comfort. But I want to feel sexy and modern. I think most women want the same things.”

Lea Michele: I Was Told I Wasn’t ‘Pretty Enough’ for Fame

Though she’s currently one of Hollywood’s hottest stars, Lea Michele remembers a time when she was told she’d never make it. “How many managers told me, ‘Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough?’” she recalls in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “But I proved them wrong.”

Now one of Glee‘s soon-to-be graduates, Michele is savoring her status — and eyeing her next steps. “I don’t stop,” she says of her booming career. “It’s my nature. People have to tell me to slow down. I plan on playing every role on Broadway … I want to do movies, make music. Glee is only the beginning.”

And while some may see her ambition as snobbery, she says she and her castmates are just seizing the moment. “People have to remember this is all new for us,” she explains. “We’re all reasonably young … I’ve learned some lessons. But people are going to say what they want to say. I know who I am, and I’m not perfect.”

Demi Moore: Ann Taylor’s Newest Face

Demi Moore for Ann TaylorPatrick Demarchelier for Ann Taylor

She’s been known to rock the latest fashions looking nothing short of stunning, and even inspired the creation of a perfume. And now, Demi Moore is showing off a sophisticated side as the newest face of Ann Taylor.

Moore was shot by photographer Patrick Demarchelier at the rooftop Rockefeller Center Gardens in New York City for the brand’s 2011 advertising campaign, which will debut in magazines in September. In the photos, the actress goes demure, wearing some of her favorite looks — a combination of iconic styles mixed with the latest trends — from the fall collection.

“I am delighted to collaborate with Ann Taylor,” Moore said in a statement. “It is the quintessential American brand for modern working women, and is a company of women, for women. They really understand what women need today to be confident and successful. The new fall collection is chic, comfortable and beautiful from the inside out, and as versatile and diverse as the lives we lead.”

Dita Von Teese’s New Perfume: Made for Grown-Up Girls

Dita Von Teese Fragrance
Landov

Dita Von Teese knows how she wants to smell — and it’s not like candy. The burlesque-star-turned-perfumer has just put the finishing touches on her swoon-worthy new scent, and it has all the essences that she was going for.

“It’s a fragrance for everyone, and I’m really proud of the level of sophistication we reached both with the packaging and the fragrance,” she tells WWD. “There’s no fruity vanilla bull—t. I’m sorry, but you know what I mean? A lot of celebrity fragrances are fruit, vanilla, and I wanted something for grown-up girls.”

To accomplish that, Von Teese whipped up a fragrance that appealed to her own senses instead. “We’ve only just come up with the scent, so I’m still working on my lingo, but it’s a lot of luscious flowers — Bulgarian rose, tiare, peony — and there’s a sexy wood,”
she shares.

Why Ashley Greene Loves Her ‘Breaking Dawn’ Bridesmaid Dress

While all eyes may be on bride Bella Swan when she walks down the aisle in the fourth installment of the Twilight film franchise, Breaking Dawn Part 1, costar Ashley Greene says the bridesmaid dresses will be worth a glance as well.

“I’m really excited for everyone to see my dress, too,” the actress, who plays Alice Cullen, tells InStyle.com. In fact, the starlet even had a say in what she wore for the big day. “It was a collaboration for the dress,” she explains. “We wanted to have all the bridesmaids fit together and also have their own identity. So, we took a little bit of Alice’s past and put it into her dress.”

And just like finally finding the perfect wig for her character, Greene says the final choice for the dress was also a perfect fit — well, almost. “I didn’t love the corset,” she admits. “There were corsets in them and we took them out by the end of the movie. We were just like, ‘We don’t care!’ There’s dancing and stuff like that so that was the only part that I didn’t like because that was uncomfortable, but once the corset came out I loved it.”
