Missed McQueen at the Met? Catch Up Here

Sunday marked the final day of “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” a retrospective of the late designer‘s work at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. About 661,509 visitors popped into the installation following its opening on May 4, making it one of the museum’s top 10 most visited exhibitions ever.

Before the exhibit opened to the public, a slew of stars toasted McQueen at the annual Met Gala. Beyoncé, Fergie, Gisele Bündchen, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and a myriad of others previewed the breathtaking exhibition, which included works from McQueen’s days as a fashion student up through his final collection, plus multimedia presentations illustrating his imaginative runway shows.

Anne V on Her Bikini Bod and Getting ‘Sexual’ with Kellan Lutz

It’s safe to say that Anne V is having a moment. After steaming up the pages of Sports Illustrated‘s swimsuit issue seven years in a row, she’s nabbed fashion campaigns alongside Gabriel Aubry and actor-turned-designer, Kellan Lutz.

And though she’s professionally good looking, the 25-year-old model still wrestles with bouts of insecurity. “There is a certain weight I feel comfortable in,” she tells PEOPLE. “The thing is, with Sports Illustrated, they want the whole voluptuous, soft body. Sometimes I’m not comfortable with that.” Her remedy? A spray tan, last minute toning and a healthy dose of confidence. “You can be the most beautiful girl in the world,” she says, “but without confidence, no one will notice you.”

That self-assuredness came into play while posing alongside Lutz in the racy Abbot + Main by Dylan George ad campaign. “Our shoot was a little sexual,” she admits, relying on her actor’s instinct to convey the mood. “It’s great working with an actor, because the theme of the shoot was what it was,” she says. “He put his whole heart in it.”

Nicole Scherzinger’s Style Gets More ‘Grown Up’

As a Pussycat Doll in her 20s, Nicole Scherzinger was all about the barely-there costume. But now, at 33, the singer and X Factor judge concedes that when it comes to fashion, less is more.

“My style has evolved into being a little bit more grown up,” she told PEOPLE Thursday at her 102.7 KIIS FM concert at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, where she donated one of her old Pussycat Dolls outfits. “It’s rock ‘n’ roll inspired, but chic. Glam rock.” Adding feathers or a cuff to a dress by Isabel Marant or Roberto Cavalli (two of her favorite designers) helps complete her look. “If I wear a lace dress I throw on a leather jacket to toughen things up, or some crazy boots,” she adds. “I like dresses that are sassy, but have clean lines.”

“She’s mixing it up with cute dresses, sequin jackets and tons of jewelry,” adds her stylist, Wyman Chang. But not before checking in with her loveable X Factor costar, Paula Abdul, on the days they film. “As far as Paula and I, we will find out what color each other’s dresses are that day and try to wear things that will complement each other,” she explains.

Their engagement was right out of a fairytale — he popped the question on a private yacht under a fireworks-filled sky at Disney World — and the engagement ring Lee DeWyze gave to girlfriend Jonna Walsh has its own whimsical story, too.

“I knew Jonna was a fan of Phantom of the Opera, and the ring in the play,” DeWyze tells PEOPLE of a circle-cut engagement ring seen in the musical. “I went looking for one that was similar and I found one — the Tiffany Embrace ring — that was perfect.”

Before purchasing the 1.5-carat bauble, he showed it to Jonna’s sister, who gave him the green light. “Everything was good,” he says. “I bought the ring two months ago and I was waiting for the right time to ask. I figured out how to do it, and once I knew the date, I decided this was going down.” The engagement, which took place on July 16, went off without any major hitches — except for the fact that it almost didn’t happen!

Amy Winehouse’s Fred Perry Collection to Continue

Amy Winehouse Fashion Line
Flynet

Amy Winehouse was known for her unique personal style, which she planned to share with others through a collection she was creating with British sportswear brand Fred Perry. And despite her unexpected death a few weeks ago, Fred Perry plans to honor her legacy with the sales of her unfinished collections.

According to WWD, after speaking with Winehouse’s family, the brand decided to release the fall 2011 and wholesale the spring 2012 Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry collections.
Immediately following the singer’s untimely death, the lines were put on hold. “When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue,” the late singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse, said in a statement. “Amy loved working on both collections, and would want them to be made available.”
