We know it can be hard to admire stars’ drool-worthy designer ensembles and know you’ll never be able to wear them. But there is a way to have just a little taste of the good life — if only for a few days. We found a handful of looks the stars have worn recently on RenttheRunway.com, the clothes borrowing site that features virtual shelves stocked with dresses by celeb-loved designers like Tibi, Rachel Roy, Hervé Léger and more.

Some red carpet repeats we’ve spotted lately? Ashley Tisdale‘s girlie bow-adorned Robert Rodriguez dress ($75 to rent for four days, $595 retail); Jennifer Aniston‘s flirty Nina Ricci “Perfect Lara” frock ($350 to rent, $3,290 retail); Selena Gomez‘s glam Teen Choice Awards dress by Erin by Erin Fetherston ($75 to rent, $595 retail); and Jennifer Lawrence’s super-sexy strapless Proenza Schouler sheath ($200 to rent, $1,525 retail). And that’s just the beginning. Find more (like Whitney Port‘s Yigal Azrouel) at RentTheRunway.com.

Inside Kim Kardashian’s Last-Minute Dress Fitting in New York

Kim Kardashian Wedding Dress Fitting
Fame

Kim Kardashian is bound to get some high-end home goods for her wedding — and a more-than-sufficient supply of frequent flyer miles.

With her wedding just more than a week away, the bride-to-be says she’s feeling “really calm,” despite a New York minute-style trip to the Big Apple for a wedding dress fitting with gown designer Vera Wang.

“I took the red-eye at midnight, landed at eight in the morning in New York, ran to Vera Wang for a dress fitting at 10 a.m., and then left at noon on another flight out,” the reality star told reporters Wednesday at the Hollywood launch party for World’s Most Beautiful magazine, in which she graces the cover in 3-D. “So I was literally in for an hour, back out. I spent like 11 hours on a plane just to spend three hours in New York.” But “it was so worth it,” she added of her whirlwind trip.

Ever the fashionistas, the Olsens are wearing T-shirts from their new site, StyleMint.com, a members-only shopping site offering customers a personalized way to shop new, exclusive collections of eight T-shirts a month for only $29.99 each.

And just like last month, the designers want to see you in a tee, too. Through Aug. 31, upload a photo or video of yourself keeping cool in a T-shirt at StyleMint’s Facebook page. Banana Republic’s ‘Mad Men’ Collection Hits Stores

Banana Republic Mad Men Collection
Courtesy Banana Republic

The success of AMC’s Mad Men has given us lots of great things — Jon Hamm, anyone? — but our favorite contribution is the return of sexy ’60s style in all its figure-flattering glory, courtesy of the show’s Emmy-award winning costume designer Janie Bryant. Now she’s teamed up with Banana Republic to bring that signature look to fans, in prices ranging from $40 for their silk scarves to $250 for a classic leopard-print haircalf satchel.

In addition to three of our favorite looks (above), score a ladylike tweed jacket straight out of Betty Draper’s closet or a curve-hugging cowl-neck dress that would suit secretary Joan Holloway — and while you’re at it, give your beau a touch of Don Draper’s masculine style with Banana Republic’s Mad Men men’s collection.

Ready to shop the stylish ’60s? Head over to Banana Republic’s site to peruse the whole collection.

Steven Tyler Inspires Fashion Collection
Joseph Gotfriedy/Broadimage

He gets many of his wardrobe ideas from his daughter’s closet, but regardless of where his threads come from, rocker Steven Tyler is known for his one-of-a-kind style. And now, the Aerosmith frontman and American Idol judge has inspired a new line for Andrew Charles’s contemporary collection, arriving at Macy’s stores next month.

“I really love the whole concept of mixing music and fashion together,” Andy Hilfiger, Andrew Charles’s creative director, tells WWD. “To launch it with such an icon such as Steven [Tyler] is amazing.”

Tyler, who has been known to rock everything from feathered hair extensions to colorful outfits, serves as the muse for the men’s line, which features items like bold-patterned cotton shirts and cotton-and-spandex-coated denim jeans, plus a scarf collection called Rock Scarf that will launch in October.
