When Kim Kardashian chose family friend Vera Wang to create her custom couture wedding gowns, she knew things would be picture perfect. What she didn’t know, however, was which of the three intricate gowns she would choose to wear for her walk down the aisle.

“I truly, up until two days before [the wedding] could not decide which to wear,” the bride admits to PEOPLE. After seeking advice from friends, family — and of course Wang herself — the choice was clear: Kardashian made her grand entrance in what she calls the “princess look” gown, a ball gown with full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on bodice and train. Along with her Lorraine Schwartz headpiece, she wore a cathedral-length veil with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué at the hem and a lightly shirred blusher layer.

“It was Cinderella,” Wang tells PEOPLE of the overall look. “But Cinderella with a very sexy body. She has a very Liz Taylor or Sophia Loren kind of body and we didn’t want to lose that.”

For the first dance, Kardashian went with something completely different — the gown that ended up being “my favorite,” she says — a sexier, Georgette mermaid dress with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on bodice. The skirt had hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery.

And lastly, when it was time to party, Kardashian made her third and final change of the evening into a bias-cut crepe-back satin gown with v-neck and circle skirt. She accessorized all three looks with custom Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Wang summed up the experience perfectly: “It was a wonderful process. The fact that she came to me for having a certain classicism mixed with modernity, I feel very honored.”

Sorry, but Kim is NOT royalty. She is only a spoiled, entitled, rich woman. And she needs to lose some serious weight!!

You know I think what shocks me is how mean everyone is being toward Kris and Kim. It was her day ok it may have been over the top for you, but i watch the wedding shows and all this poor women did was have her fantasy wedding and she is being condemed for that the dresses were pretty and so was the head piece. I dont feel it was over the top at all and if they can afford it more power to them.

I think this wedding was a little over the top considering the state of world affairs. If she has this kind of money, I would be more interested to hear about one extravagent dress and classful wedding. I would respect her more if she excesses were donated to famine relief in Somalia where 600,000 children are dying. People, E channel, etc are going to make this a profit wedding. Please show some true inner values Kardashians and donate to those in our world who didn’t eat while this over the top wedding was happening.

Envisioning the discussion with any daughters she might have. Honey, don’t worry about self respect or dignity or being a lady. Do anything, and I mean anything, film it, embarass and debase yourself in any and every possible way, to get publicity and the almighty dollar.

Kris Jenner was supportive when Kim posed for playboy.
My parents would flip If I posed for playboy. Even though I am an adult like Kim.
Kris Jenner and her family sued when Kim’s sex tape went out to earn the $.
My parents would be embarrassed if I had a sex tape.
Kim use to bounce from guy to guy in bed before she got married.
I am very commented when I am in a relationship and don’t change guys like a girl changed underwear.
Kim got three dresses for her 2nd marriage.
The only three things I have for my wedding is my veil.
She is only famous because her dad was an attorney for the O J Simpson trial.
I am only famous because I am me. What you see is what you get.

No way is the K clan royalty in anyway shape or form. Is Kim pretty? Who knows. All she shows is her boobs and booty. Maybe they will take some of their money and do good deeds with charities. Look what Brad and Angelina have done to help out all over the world. Will and Kate take care of their share of charities also. America’s original royalty was John and Jackie Kennedy. They got married in a church and had the reception in the backyard of his parents home. (Did you know John F. Kennedy never took a pay as president? He refused all his paychecks). I won’t pick on Kim’s dress, it’s what she liked. Not my choice. When I got married I walked down the aisle in a gown with a 6ft. trane. At the reception, the trane was detachable, or you can bustle it. I understand why Duchess Kate had to have a second dress. The original will be a part of history, but for Kim to have 3 dresses? Waste of time and money.

i think (from what iv seen and heard) that the wedding was beautiful and like a fairlytale, but i do think she went a bit over the top. she spent like $500 on a butter knife, and around like $2000 on an ashtray (even though neither of them smoke…), and the total of the wedding probably totaled up to about $15 million, which is wayyy to much. although i dont agree on her spending ways, i hope that she and Kris are married for a long time and have a happy life :)

While I’ve always believed that people with loads of money are entitled to spend it as they wish (you make money, you get to spend money), there has to be a sense of social responsibility. The exhorbitant amounts of money that the Kardashian family spent on this wedding will not be missed, they will make plenty more, yet there are Americans in their own country who are starving and struggling to make ends meet. Perhaps Kim could have worn only one dress and gave some money to a charity instead.
