Is Lady Gaga Going Ladylike?

Gone are the green highlights, the sheer dresses, the face masks and the leather … is Lady Gaga growing up? The singing star stepped out several times over the weekend looking polished and — dare we say — demure!

Friday, Gaga wore a black one-shoulder cocktail dress from Versace’s fall/winter 2011 collection, her hair brushed and blonde, her heels plain black. Saturday, she left a recording studio toting a black Versace clutch and donning a sheer, yet tasteful, one-shoulder black chiffon evening gown. Then Sunday, Gaga impressed again, this time in a yellow snakeskin print cocktail dress, also from the fall/winter 2011 collection, belted and paired with Christian Louboutin heels.

In June, Gaga declared she’d be wearing strictly Versace for two solid months. Though she’s deviated from that promise, wearing Ferragamo and Yves Saint Laurent, too, perhaps she’s finding her way with the Italian fashion house? Or maybe that best-dressed title is causing her to make a fashion flip-flop. Regardless, we want to know: What do you think of Gaga’s new look?

I love her new look, always knew she was pretty under all that fluff.

I agree. it was time for her to get a little more mature. The eccentric outfits were extremely attention-seeking.

I tend to like everything GAGA does…

She looks like a woman and not a creature!!! A much better look, and who knew she was actually pretty once she took all that junk off!!!

I don’t think this is permanent…I always thought her crazy costumes were part of her act, anyway. Just because she’s wearing designer clothes doesn’t mean she’s actually changed any!

The over the top looks were getting boring. She still look unique, but in a more intelligent way

I absolutely love Lady Gaga! Now maybe instead of focusing on her crazy wardrobe we can all listen to her voice (:

[...] One cannot deny that Lady GaGa’s err, alter ego, Jo Calderone’s opening performance of “You and I” with a surprise appearance by Brian May, was in typical fashion of GaGa, high energy and over-the-top. Although, some critics are claiming GaGa’s idea to dress in drag had already been done in 1984 by Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox, it sure got everyone talking. There’s only so many original ideas still left and as the the old sang goes “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” While no doubt Lady GaGa needed a breakfrom “being GaGa,” it will sure will be nice to have her back. It may have been more mind blowing if GaGa showed up for the awards looking demure in a beautiful Versace dress with some Christian Louboutin heels as she has been recently spotted in. [...]
