Would You Try Dramatic Winged Eyeliner Like Katharine McPhee?

My, what big eyes you have, Katharine McPhee! The smoldering Smash star made a bold beauty statement on the red carpet in New York City last week, sporting exaggerated winged eyeliner at a party celebrating the grand opening of the New Balance Experience store. The dramatic look, complemented by minimal makeup and a simple bun, really made her eyes pop.

McPhee is one of several leading ladies to work the look lately: Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and Olivia Wilde have all tried the cat-eye look, and that extra bit of black liner is practically Lauren Conrad‘s trademark beauty move.

But tell us: What do you think of the winged eyeliner look? Would you try it for a night out? Or do you prefer to keep your eyeliner on, well, your eyelids?

You should have showed off her beautiful legs! Best legs ever!

The eyeliner? Definitely! Very current and a fun way to try an updated look. The hair, though? Ummm no… It certainly doesn’t work with the dramatic eye makeup.

As long as the wings don’t hit my brows!

An homage to the late Amy Winehouse, Clearly. I would rock it with a statement color on the pout. Maybe a matte red, coral, or pink! ;)

No way…it’s a little too Amy Winehouse for me
