Right from the start, Mark-Paul Gosselaar knew what he wanted a dream engagement ring to exude: romance.

“He’s a romantic at heart and he was looking to express it,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who collaborated with Gosselaar, 36, on an ideal sparkler to give to his advertising executive girlfriend Catriona McGinn. “I worked on creating her dream ring for about a month. She had seen a ring of mine and Mark-Paul brought in a photo of it and we started customizing it, finding the perfect stone, showing sketches, discussing the mounting and how many smaller diamonds it would have and really designing it together. It’s rare to find a guy who really wants to find the perfect ring and be so very involved in the process.”

The result was a 3-carat cushion-cut center diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds in a handmade platinum setting, totaling over 5 carats. “He couldn’t wait to propose,” says Lane of the former Saved By the Bell heartthrob, who now stars with Breckin Meyer on Franklin & Bash. “He was so excited to have found the woman of his dreams,” Lane continues. “They are an amazing couple. When he talks about her, it is clear that he is so in love!”

Nice ring. But did he not just get divorced????
Happy for him, but equally as annoyed when people cannot just take time to date instead of getting married again.

Boy, people hardly wait for the ink to dry on their divorce papers nowadays. The guy just got out of a 14 year marriage and he’s taking the “forever” plunge again??? Seeing as he is Hollywood though, he did surpass most of those marriages by 7 fold, lmao!

I was thinking that too about his divorce, but haven’t you thought about how long he may have been separated from his now ex-wife?

You guys r a bunch of Idiots LoL

He’s been divorced for sometime now. Try keeping up with all the news that goes on :)

And the ring is very beautiful. And Heather I am sure you;re is just well nice looking.

⇈ You’re the idiot. His divorce was finalized earlier this summer.

Of course, he has been separated for quite a while.

It is gorgeous. It is exactly the ring I wanted and was looking for. But I love my ring too, just get a pang of jealousy when I see this ring!

a halo with stones that go around the band. he spent so much time designing that?!? not that it’s not a pretty ring, but that’s a common setting you can find now. i feel like every other celebrity that has gotten engaged lately has a ring that looks like that. i’m glad we got to see the ring, but i’m ready to start seeing new and unique styles.

Mrs. JP…I agree with you; the ring is beautiful. However, you might want take your own advice about keeping up with news before you go around calling people you don’t know a bunch of idiots. This is a forum not a frat house. Mark-Paul’s divorce was finalized May 27th 2011. He and his now ex-wife separated a year and a half ago. In my opinion, that’s still to soon for him to take another marital leap but, that’s his business. Live long and prosper.
