All About Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s Romantic Engagement Ring!

Right from the start, Mark-Paul Gosselaar knew what he wanted a dream engagement ring to exude: romance.

“He’s a romantic at heart and he was looking to express it,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who collaborated with Gosselaar, 36, on an ideal sparkler to give to his advertising executive girlfriend Catriona McGinn. “I worked on creating her dream ring for about a month. She had seen a ring of mine and Mark-Paul brought in a photo of it and we started customizing it, finding the perfect stone, showing sketches, discussing the mounting and how many smaller diamonds it would have and really designing it together. It’s rare to find a guy who really wants to find the perfect ring and be so very involved in the process.”

The result was a 3-carat cushion-cut center diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds in a handmade platinum setting, totaling over 5 carats. “He couldn’t wait to propose,” says Lane of the former Saved By the Bell heartthrob, who now stars with Breckin Meyer on Franklin & Bash. “He was so excited to have found the woman of his dreams,” Lane continues. “They are an amazing couple. When he talks about her, it is clear that he is so in love!”

I think it’s definitely one of the prettiest rings I’ve seen in Hollywood lately. Gorgeous ring, but I must admit I am EXTREMELY jealous He has always been in my top 5 and have wanted him since Saved By the Bell, to the College Years, to Dead Man on Campus, to now.

It’s a beautiful ring.

For everyone commenting that its too soon to get remarried – he was separated for quite some time AND you do not know what his marriage was like, though they were still “together” they may have been living “separate” for a long time.

The wedding ring doesn’t make the marriage last…people put too much emphasis on the ring and the wedding and forget about the marriage and making it work and not walking away when it gets hard.

I love it when people who have been married for many years complain about those who get divorced (mcc…this includes you). There’s a lot more to some marriages than just “tough times.” I was married for 10 years to someone who ignored me, belittled me, and was consumed by selfishness. Counseling did nothing. What would you do in that situation? If you have enough feeling of self-worth, you stand up to them and leave. Especially with children involved. And you move on with renewed hope to find love with someone who truly appreciates your worth.
