Behind the Scenes at Kate Moss's 'Rock 'n' Roll' Wedding

For Kate Moss, planning her July 1 nuptials to rocker Jamie Hince was a little more complicated than saying “I do.”

“I’ve thrown parties for other people, but this is a completely different thing,” the cover girl reveals of her pre-wedding jitters in Vogue‘s September issue. “I’ve gone mental. Jamie thinks I’m mad, asking, ‘Are you gonna be all right? After the wedding, I’m hoping you’ll get back to normal!'”

With 16 bridesmaids and flower girls, including daughter Lila Grace, 8 (pictured below), and a vision in mind — “I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft-focus,” she says — Moss dubbed the theme: “Rock-’n’-roll Great Gatsby!”

The dress, a beaded and lace confection by John Galliano, also achieved the desired effect — and then some! “She dared me to be John Galliano again,” the maligned couturier gushed, adding that designing the gown for Moss was his “creative rehab.” For more behind-the-scenes details and photos from Moss and Hince’s wedding day (including shots of guests like Kelly Osbourne and Paul McCartney), head to Vogue.com.

Soft focus is probably a reeeeeally good idea for Kate Moss. Were it not for photoshop and airbrushing, that girls career would have been OVAH a looooong time ago. She’s really rough around the edges. Too much drinking, smoking and drugs.

I agree. A whole lot of these ,”models” are rough on the eyes. BFF is photoshop. They work cause they have the skinny bodies like a hanger to hang clothes on.

The first picture looks like it’s from a vampire movie with the weird red thing and the way her face looks. The other photo is beautiful and the wedding dress spectacular

Oh gorgeous is gorgeous is gorgeous. She has a natural beauty about her. She doesn’t need Photoshop. Do you all have any idea how many models live a harsh lifestyle that you would be sooo surprised to know about? Few of them are as naturally beautiful as Kate Moss. They wouldn’t look good at all without a lot of makeup & air brushing. She is timeless. I can appreciate her genetics alone. Her personal life is her business.

Just dropped by out of curiosity; wanted to scope the kind of minds that attend to what People has to say. It’s hard to imagine how profoundly lonely and disconnected, without a meaningful life, one would have to be to absorb these other empty lives.
But I try to learn from everything I do; this goes a long, long way to explaining why we have such an empty failure occupying the presidency…
